Live convert here.....need a few questions answered please...

Like many I am coming over to ID from Live because I like the pace of the game better. Now the questions I have are as follows.

    1) I only rented it and I will probably end up buying it. But the rental did not include the manual. Just a brief overview of the basic functions. Is there somewhere online that I can find the manual?

2)I get the feeling during the game that I don't switch to the nearest player fast enough....like I try to become the guy defending the shooter....but it seems like a slight delay from when I press the button. This causes me to miss some good defensive opportunities.

3)There are some nice sliders in the game. But is there one that adjusts the offensive rebounds and fouls? I think it is better than live in this area....but I still don't get many rebounds and almost no fouls against me.

4)Before I start my season as the Cavs are there any settings that I need to know about? You know,,,,sometimes you start a season and realize that there is a setting you need to change and then you realize that you have to start the season all over just to change a small setting. I'm hoping some of you have already taken these lumps for me.

Thanks.....this game is kicking some butt so far.

As far as the first few questions, I have no clue, but definately before you start a franchise, set all the teams to user, and just play with the team of your choice. By doing this, you will be able to keep accurate rosters. I would suggest going with 9 minute quarters on All-Star difficulty. It may seem hard at first, but the more you learn your team, and how they play, then it will become a little easier.

As far as switching back and forth between players, I always use Icon switching. You press Y and then the corresponding team member. After a few games of playing this way, you will be executing on defense and offense better than any other method.

Rebounding in this game is a mixed bag. Some games, the rebounds are great, and here lately I have been getting some good rebound numbers, but I have to manually rebound. Icon switching is the easiest thing here again. Switch to your rebounders, and go in after it. If you leave the CPU to do it for you, prepare to get hurt on the boards.

Fouls are another story. I usually find that I go to the line 22-28 times per game, and the CPU 14-20. That isn't bad, but it still isn't entirely realistic. Remember that each game plays a little different, so even if you haven't had too many fouls in your first few games, that you will in latter games. Especially if you turn the fouls to "Strict". Hope these help a little. have fun, and welcome to ID.

To the original post... it's not just player switching that is delayed, it's the whole game, every action. Sure, it's not 'bad' but there is certainly the slightest of delays between actually pressing the button and seeing the action take place. Not annoying, as I am used to it, but it does exist and would be nice to see it improved.

ive never had any delay of any kind.
the only annoying thing is that when someone is WIDE OPEN, its like you try to pass towards them and the game makes it deliberately go to someone else.

but 6/10 it goes to ur open man so its not too bad. and you havent got time to use the icon passing coz then he wouldnt be open anymore by the time you sorted it out.
