Game lock ups

Ok, I am wondering if anyone else is having problems with the game locking up on them. I'm on my second copy and the same thing is happening.

Sometimes the commentary dies, leaving only the sound effects playing while I play the game. Usually, the disc drive then spins out of control, like it's trying to find what track it is on. Half the time, it must find it because the commentary resumes..... but the other half of the time, the game just freezes!

Am I the only one with this problem? I have no other issues with any other game I have, and I can't believe that my luck is sooo bad I have gotten 2 bad discs in a row, can it?

sorry to say its never happened to me.
if i did i would be pissed though.
maybe its a problem with ur xbox or something.
im sure you thought of that already though.

Sounds like you might have a dirty DVD player. I'm not sure what is recommended for cleaning an Xbox player but I assume it would be a standard DVD player cleaner. I've had similar problems with games not loading and use some compressed air to blow out the player it seemed to fix the problem a little.

I went through the same problem with 3 different copies, found out it was the xbox since it happens alot. Sold it to GameStop etc. for 90 bucks and pay the difference for a new one, never had a lock or freeze up problem ever since

Thanks for the info guys, but I'm not going to trade in my box for the sake of one game.

I'll have to suffer through it I guess!
