It was all good, as Jo scored his 40 and 41 points on out last possesion, but still, WTF is up with that rule?
Why can I never call a timout of defense ?

Why can I never call a timout of defense ?
This drives me nuts. Why is this rule in the game? I had a 3 point lead with 15 secodn left in the game, so that the Bucks had put Allen back in the game, go to call a time out, and the little to screen pops up, calling the TO after he hits the [censored] 3.

I'm a little confused do you mean why can't you call a to on defense? If I'm not mistaken thats an NBA rule you cant call a to unless you have the ball.

Is it? I was trying to think of that today, but Im pretty sure as long as its a deal ball, you can call a timeout
I dont know how to verify this, does the NBA maybe have a rule book on line somewhere?Comment

Re: Why can I never call a timout of defense ?
Your right about the dead ball thing Skins4Life. Here are the rules for Timeouts.
Section VI-20-Second Timeout
A player's request for a 20-second timeout shall be granted only when the ball is dead or in control of the team making the request. A request at any other time shall be ignored.
EXCEPTION: The head coach may request a 20-second timeout if there is a suspension of play to administer Comments on the Rules-N-Guidelines for Infection Control.
Section VII-Regular Timeout-100/60 Seconds A player's request for a timeout shall be granted only when the ball is dead or in control of the team making the request. A request at any other time shall be ignored.
EXCEPTION: The head coach may request a regular timeout if there is a suspension of play to administer Comments on the Rules-N-Guidelines for Infection Control.

no, the rule states you can call it if the play is dead. The game doesnt let you do thatComment
