I recently started a new season playing as the Grizzlies.
I normally use an East Coast team...but there's just too many good teams out west to ignore how much more fun the game is with all the big games (LA, Spurs, T-Wolves, Sac, Mavs 4 times each etc)
I also like to play team ball and run plays...so the Grizz were perfect.
I am running a deep bench and using a tonne of triangle, post and flex plays.
The triangle is nice with this team as Gasol can pass from the top of the key...and if the D doesn't come, he can shoot the 15 footer. If the D comes, I can look for Miller on one wing to shoot the 3, or find a slasher like Wells.
Post plays are just as nice as Gasol can post up. He's not the superior post player of a Duncan, but he's got some moves.
Flex works nice as it gives you Gasol in the paint and the likes of Miller and Williams for three balls.
Having a deep bench is a strength of this team...so I tend to run when the starters are out. A lot of plays for Swift if we break and Battier if we get caught half court.
Still amazed how many different challenges this game throws up at you. Mis matches, different paced games...different teams coming at you with their real team styles...presents a different challenge every night...very cool.
