    Almost perfect.....why Microsoft ?

    Man !!!!

I cannot believe Microsoft is not going to continue the Inside drive series. I'm 37 years old and I have played them all and this is by far the closest thing to a perfect NBA sim basketball game ever.

I felt like I lost my best friend when I heard they are taking a year off. I was looking forward to next years edition badly because of how great this year's game played. They are so close to perfection and now they don't want to continue this series....WOW !!! and WHY ?

IMO this is the most underated basketball game ever and if some of these ESPN die hard's ( which i used too be) who like simulation basketball switch over to this game " they would be very impressed " like i was,

I feel so much frustration towards Microsoft for this because it's like they teeze you with almost perfection then leave you.

I'm in a league that used to use the NBA 2K series and ESPN series as our NBA video game choice, but the whole league ( 30 of us ) traded in this year's ESPN series and converted over to a much better simulation NBA basketball game with Inside drive.

Our whole league is so disappointed about Microsofts decision about not continuing this great game next year. This is why we all just might stick with this game for another year instead of switching over to another series next year.......It's that good

Microsoft, How could you do this to us ? I HATE YOU !!!!

I agree. It is that good. I still play ID 2004 almost all the time on the Xbox. It's my most played game, and I just don't get tired of it. I'm in the middle of an 82-game season, the second year in my franchise. I play all the games, because you never know what might happen. Even the lowest competition has the potential to blow you out. And it does it realistically.

I can understand Microsoft's decision to take the year off though. For one thing, they're going to need to assign a dev team to do the next iteration since High Voltage decided not to continue the series. Hopefully, much of the gameplay will be intact and hopefully we WILL get another iteration. If it takes a little longer, I'm all for it if the gameplay actually improves and doesn't suffer.

The game's not perfect but it's the closest thing yet to a b-ball sim, and I'm hoping Microsoft knows this and continues to work on the series. The only thing that sucks is not knowing if we'll get another iteration: the wait time will be 2 years. From this point and 2 years from now, it could get cancelled at any time, which would really suck. Hopefully that won't happen.

They did not cancel NBA Inside Drive they're skipping a season to make the game up to par with EA and Sega games. Microsoft said "there hasn't been a Xbox sports game that took advantage of the Xbox and EA/Sega games are built on PS2 then ported to Xbox". This one year break will give them the proper time to make a sports game that looks and plays like a Xbox sports game. Expect to see all games support custom soundtracks and run at 720P or 1080i. EA did it with a couple of games like KK then took a year off to make Fight Night. NBA Inside Drive will be back next year and don't be suprised if it's the best basketball game ever.

The game was no where near perfect, the only thing going for the series was it's gameplay, the graphics, sound, presentation, ect lacked what an xbox exclusive sports game should resemble. To me it was a smart move by msoft, and it showed loyalty to all fans and owners of the box, showing they want to make a game tha shows off what the xbox could do all around, great move, good luck msoft, and i'll be one of the first NEW supporters if the move turns out to be successful!
