Microsoft making a big mistake.....
....by not making Drive 2005. This game is the superior NBA game on the market. At least send out a Charlotte Bobcats patch or a division-realignment option. This game kicks too much tail to not be released next year. C'mon, guys, don't let the sales get you down! From reading the info about Live and ESPN 2005, you're my only hope."He who controlleths the backboard, controlleths the game." - Adolph RuppTags: None -
Re: Microsoft making a big mistake.....
you say dont let the sales get you down...but if the game doesnt retail well...the dev team will go UP...in smole
yes...id does many things better than other games...but the things that will draw the casual gamer to drop 50 on their title just arent there yet...
this basically means they have two yrs...to make a quality series of games...if they cant...too bad for them for wasting their own time -

Re: Microsoft making a big mistake.....
How hard is it to improve graphics? That's what draws the casual fans in. Look what ESPN did from 2002 to 2003 with ESPN. Granted, the gameplay stunk, but the graphic improvements were simply amazing. That's all Microsoft needs to do--tweak the graphics, leave the gameplay the same, and BAM! Greatest game of all time."He who controlleths the backboard, controlleths the game." - Adolph RuppComment

Obviously it's hard since inside drive has had horrible graphics since the beginning.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Microsoft making a big mistake.....
I was a big fan of ID2002 and 2003, but I felt that the game didn't change enough to warrant a purchase in 2004.
I really did enjoy the game, but Live did make a huge jump from it's arcade days.
I hope that Microsoft doesn't drop the title all together, because with more features and improved gameplay, this game will be in my XBOX in a heartbeat."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
