Well at first i tought MS decided to skip ID this year because they wanted to catch up to competition (like it has any competion on the gameplay department), well at least catch up in terms of graphics, presentation and bonuses... and still beleieve its one of the reasons but now that i have read this following article at ign:
i think there might be a bigger reason. they may have moved production of the next installment of Inside Drive to the succesor of the Xbox, so that they can have a Next Generation Basketball title ready for the launch or near after. I think that's the real reason behind skipping ID this year.... anyway wheter it's released on the Xbox or its succesor, it can only get better for this great franchise, but ID on new system and next gen graphics might be a bigger beast and what it may need to capture people's attention.
