    NBA Action series (help)

Need help guys. I'm looking at all you old school cats.

I'm trying to fill out the final games of my basketball video game collection. I'm trying to complete the Sega Sports NBA Action series (which was the predecessor to the original NBA 2k on dreamcast).

I just picked up NBA action 94 & NBA Action 95 for the genesis. What other titles existed in the 90's ??

I'm only remembering NBA Action & NBA Action 98 on the saturn ?

Am i missing anything else ?

Well there was a NBA Action on the Saturn before NBA action 98 (aka NBA fast break 98 on the PSX). It was just called NBA action, although some refer to it as NBA action 96. If you wanna go away from VC and just go sega games you could add David Robinsons Supreme Court Basketball and Pat Riley Basketball
    It's 'Sconnie not wiscy!!!!!

I know about David Robinson & PAt Riley basketball but those games didn't have the NBA license.

I'm pretty sure NBA action 98 on saturn and NBA fast break 98 on PS1 are two completely different games. NBA fastbreak

On the PC it was called NBA Action 98 as well, and judging from youtube videos, they're all the same game. I played it on the PC. The game was very deep for back then. I loved it and played it so much more than Live 98.

Because it is a visual concept games that sega and midway both published. It wasn't delveloped by sega it was developed by VC at the time and published by two different companies. As somone who has been gaming since the days of Atari you saw this a lot back in the day.

Damn.....your correct sir. I just goggled NBA Fast Break 98 on the PSone and on the back it does say Visual Concepts. I had NO IDEA>>>>>you learn something new everyday.

So they made 2 games the same year. NBA action 98 on saturn and NBA fastbreak 98 on the PSone. Then they took a year off and then made NBA 2k on the dreamcast.

                  Thanks for the help guys....

The same guy I got NBA Action 94 & 95 from also has NBA Fsstbreak 98 for the PS1. I should be getting it in about a week. Can't wait to pop it in and try it out (it's been a very looooong time, I never played it before but did play NBA Action 98 on saturn). Thanks for the help again guys. This was a game I needed to complete my collection of 2k titles and last week never knew that it existed.

I got the complete collection of NBA Live (Lakers vs celtics to Live 15). I got everything 2k/sega sports (from NBA Action 94 to 2k15, other than NBA Action and NBA Action 98 on the saturn).

                      Re: NBA Action series (help)

I never played Action or Action 95, but from videos I have seen, it's like a night and day compared to Action 98. It's like comparing 2K9 on the PS3 to 2K15 on the PS4 (gameplay-wise, not graphics).

Action 98 was amazing, and the signature animations were ahead of their time. If I remember, some centers (maybe Ewing, Robinson and Olajuwon) and maybe a couple more had their signature moves. Pippen, Malone, Kemp and maybe Sprewell (maybe some others) had their own signature dunks.

I should still have it for the PC somewhere, but I can't play with a keyboard any more. I have a Logitech PS2-like controller...wondering if I can play the game with it.

Mintsa, why don't you upload some videos?
