looks cool. seems off a bit when next to those real life shots. the lighting from the gamescom video looks dope. 2k's art team should've given harden the shoulder tape tho. wonder which company gonna show him "cheffin'" first?

I'm have to say both games look great. But for me Live 16 looks better this year due to there lighting system. So, I'll give the edge to live. However, 2k looks great in both close and zoomed view, areas where live fails in comparison. Live looks good zoomed in, but when camera is out, doesn't have that same look. Going to be interesting to see how this yr live looks in that scenario.

Graphically speaking, if you can't be happy with both titles this year, then there's no pleasing you. Both games are stellar this year. Minor tweaks could be made to both, but regardless of your preference, we all win.

It's going to come down to game modes. I won't purchase both and I'll definitely be getting one.

Thats understandable and true but we can only judge what they give us, and 2k thought it was good enough to release, so as of now from what we can tell the lighting isnt looking too good compared to the competition.

I think the lighting model looks much better and is more believable. But as far as overall brightness levels, contrast, and saturation, I agree it could use a tweak to bring it all the way there, whether that means simply simulating more light from the arena lights or adjusting their post process effects. 2K14 had better overall levels so it's odd that 2K15 and possibly 16 went in a different direction.

The game seems to look really good from those baseline replay cams though, because the backlit arena lights actually render to be hot enough in the skin highlights.

This is why I laugh at people gawking over the screenshots. Doctored screenshots at that!

One is meant to look right during gameplay and one for taking screenshots. We've done this for a couple of years now and you would think folks would learn to not hold so much value on screenshots. If they don't clue you in on actual features, then screenshots are pointless. Curry showcasing a mouthpiece versus the same basketball that was in last years game. Which one of those was a more useful screenshot?

I think live has an advantage over 2k because they been out of the game for a moment. So everything they show has to be better that their past efforts. They surely have shown up this time visually. 2K has also. I still do not think its gonna be s battle of which game has the most modes, best graphics, court shine, etc. Its gonna be a battle over the only thing that ever matters in games. Smart, fun, smooth & challenging gameplay. Gameplay is king no matter what. As i wait for "the real truth on both games".

Exactly. It's always about gameplay, yet people continue to forget that when screenshots start flying. It's pathetic, really.

Both derozan's look amazing. It's hard to compare because both demar pics have different facial expressions and body poses. We need the pics to be the same or really close to the same.
