the entire player likeliness in college games shouldn't be an issue. couldnt 2k and ea use a name generator and a more robust face generator application to create more variety of players.

the only must-haves I can think of are; they must create a new game. 2k8 was so deep, Id settle for the same game with updated graphics, playbooks and commentary.

I could be wrong but it appeared EA did an end run around the NCAA by signing a deal with a company that licenses logos for 100 colleges and universities.

Not sure "NCAA licensing" is needed. Player likeness - no big deal for me. 4 years into your legacy franchise none of the players are "real" - they are all generated. Remember this is college.

Women's basketball would be fine but private companies have to make a profit and I doubt that would happen with women's basketball. A clue would be the lower attendance and TV ratings.

        Deep legacy mode.

Something similar to NCAA football's teambuilder.

        Great gameplay.

Those would be my big 3.

I still own 2k8 hoops and it's the only basketball game I play.

If you gave me Choops 2k8 with simply the updated gameplay/graphics found in 2k21, I'd be beyond happy. I'm not even an NBA fan really and I buy 2k basketball every year because it has the best gameplay and franchise mode of any of the sports games that continue to come out annually.

2k8 is probably my most played sports game of all time if it isn't NFL 2k5, so I'd gladly take the same feature set it has now in Legacy Mode and not complain at all.

With how much 2k has improved in their atmosphere creating since 2k8, I can only imagine what an updated Choops game would be like today.
