note - I have changed some settings and forgot to record them so these may be off a little.
Do you think that they may have overdone the "6th man" and it's boost?

If you look at my test results, it seems to me that the results are higher on the PC side then with the opponents. It looks like the sliders are really close if I look at the opponents stats/averages. PC was the designated away team for the first game (vs Temple) and was the away team for the last game (vs URI), the other 5 games PC was either the designated home team or the actual home team.

Dunno yet. Absolutely it seems the home team has an advantage, but my games have been cool so far.

Last night we (Miami OH) upset LaSalle at our place, storming back from a 13 point halftime deficit. We were up by two late, LaSalle knocked down a clutch 3 with about 10 seconds and I thought they had won the game, but one of my Gs got the ball at midcourt, took a couple of dribbles, and stuck a 3 just before the buzzer for the win.

Then, we only led CS-Fullerton by 1 at the half until pulling away at the midpoint of the 2nd half.

In my last game, we went to Wichita State, who is a little better than we are, played a good game and got a great look at the end to win. My PF (who had dominated) got the ball underneath down 1 with 5 seconds left and rimmed out a contested turnaround from five feet out (heartbreaking). We tried to foul to put them on the line but we had YET TO FOUL in the second half (previously my foul #s had been pretty decent...the only way to change this IMO is to edit every players foul tendency before eah game, which I do not think is possible in legacy mode).

Anyway, right now I am not alarmed by 6th man.

still having great results on default MOP with fouls maxed out

IMHO you guys are waisting your time fiddling with the sliders.

are you using 360. I tried this and did not have the same results you had. I experienced a lot of 3pointers, the field goal percentage was really high was just some of the things I noticed. I am using 360.

You are really in your 3rd season already??

I'm still in the ABL for my first season in my Tennessee-Martin legacy. Just entering the playoffs where the team that has a 7'1" center from Kansas City (that I am scouting) will be playing in.

So far, only UMKC is listed as an interested school for the kid with UTM about even in interest level.

At this pace, I won't be in my 3rd season until June.

No one in the ABL is gonna come to Texas State unless their grades or SAT scores are crap and one of my boosters bought them a new Hummer.

So I pretty much just sim the ABL.

Also, typically my first legacy is a slider building marathon so I sim a ton of small school games to get to a mid-major faster where I can play test my sliders.

Yes, 360. Play tight defense to stop the 3's. Just coach and dont just watch and you will be amazed. I got 2 "over the back" calls last night.

Yeah, may be the same with Tennessee Martin. I have to try at least. The players I am scouting are mostly lined up to go to conference rivals like Austin Peay or Eastern Illinois. EIU seems to be taking advantage of the Chicago Public League talent pool.

I've been playing coach mode for a while but it seems like I ask this question every year when it comes to basketball. How often do the coaches call the plays? In 2k7 I let my pg "run the offense" by having offensive playcalling set to auto and handling everything else like timeouts etc. I know in football the plays are sent in by coordinators but how often does the coach in a bball game tell the team which play to run?

I don't doubt that it is but I'm talking more real life basketball.

It all depends on the coach, I know some coaches will call plays nearly every possession. Others only call sets, and every once in a while call for a play.

                            My guess would be this:

During practice they will go over the game plan for their next game.

During the game, the coach probably only calls for certain plays during certain certain times. For example, late in the game and they are down by two or 3 points. During time outs I'm guessing that the coach is emphasizing things that need to be done, like bearing down on defense.

In 2k7 and 2k8 you can think of the pg getting signals from the bench as to what plays to run while he is bringing the ball upcourt.

Hey, just checking in on everyone's progress. The winter storm hit us pretty hard...worst ever in Oklahoma. Anyway, no power, no internet, no phone. I am up at the unversity right now trying to get some study time in.

My next step on sliders is to test this [player speed vs game speed] issue out on cpuvcpu. Interesting discussion on the slider page. I have not noticed speed as a problem, but I can see how that might affect my TO issue on PS2. If this is a part-solution, it may allow me to manufacture some more fouls with the STEAL and BLOCK sliders.

Hope everyone is still having fun coaching.

                                anyone else have any reports?
