not really classified as a bug, nor a glitch.....really just an omission.

the crowd camera angle.......sounds silly but I had really gotten to love that cam in NBA2k8.

Has anyone tested the standing dunk bug to see if it's occuring every instance?

I have tested it in both open and closed legacy, with downloaded rosters and stock rosters. None seem to work.

Considering previous 2k patches... do people think we'll have to restart our legacy's all over if a patch does indeed get released that would fix the standing dunk issue? I just finished all my ABL work, and I doubt I'd restart at this point. I wouldn't mind if the glitch was in for one season, I got the patch, and my next season was fixed, but like I said, I doubt I'd start the whole legacy process over again at this point.

The patch that 2k released for MLB this year realllly improved that game, and I didn't have to restart my season there for things to take effect, so who knows?

Ok, well im ready to concede that this is a glitch..

-Defense as a whole, the reason the cpu is going crazy is because user defense will just stop guarding guys at times.. and i dont mean getting lost on picks, i mean forget that they were supposed to be guarding someone.

I've tested this on many occasions w/different teams recently, but in one instance I had Brian Randle of Illinois (93 on ball defender, 87 defensive aware) sticking Memphis' Chris Douglas-Roberts.. on numerous occasions, w/different defenses selected i watch as Randle would stop in the paint and jus kinda gaze while CDR would be at the 3 pt line unguarded.. i tried man2man, 1/2 court press, triangle n 2.. everything.. still happens.. but its not isolated to one player, its random as hell.. you have to guess who's not going to stick their man each time down the floor.

This happens both home and away, though away its magnified because the home team will make everything perimeter and inside.

I never thought it would happen, but im close to giving up on this game.

I also think the "ballhandle" slider is broken.. even at 100, the same guys who cant dribble, still cant dribble and none of the dribble animations are spedup.

Just a thought, but try this with the help defense slider at zero

^^ Im an online guy, so i dont bother with sliders. This shouldn't be happening on default setting. MOP/AA doesn't matter, still occurs every single possession down the floor.

I just checked for the heluva it, and even w/those sliders at 0 and double teams set to never, defenders will still double anyone near the paint, which leaves a man open.. also the sag-off lost man thing still happens

I've been saying that since it came out. Some developers make the game tougher by improving the CPU AI. 2K has decided they'd make the game harder by dumbing down the human AI. Players look like they are playing 7th grade intramural defense, not Division 1 college basketball.

Has anyone noticed that in legacy mode, the power conference positions go to mid major coaches and not major conference coaches? It seems like the only way you get a job in the MWC or C-USA is by a coach getting fired or retiring. I just saw UCLA hire the Manhattan coach and Virginia hire the Loyola-Maryland coach. Shouldn't these schools look at the major conferences as well?

To me the single biggest bug is the 0 standing dunk bug. I just finished going through my first season, and every recruit for every team has a 0 standing dunk rating, and I know some of them were rated not F when I was recruiting them, but now that they are on a team it is F and 0 rating.

What does standing dunk affect? I have never seen a guy standing still dunk the ball.

This would be a lot of work, but can you edit everyone's standing dunk rating and have them stick?

You can't edit ratings in closed legacy mode.


Which, IMO has always been an annoying fact in sports games. If I want to edit ratings and "mess with the integrity" or my dyansty/legacy, why shouldn't I be given that opportunity? It leaves too much in the hands of the developers, so when we see bugs like this, we are forced to either wait for a patch that may/may not come or we are screwed.
