Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Hey I'm currently in year four of my legacy playing as Carolina on mop difficulity we have won last three national championships, but this year looks like it might rough as all my top guys have left and incoming freshmen aren't anything to special maybe a potential in my PF... I kinda been struggling in the recruiting area, which is strange seeing how successful we've been.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just won the National Title game over Kansas 85-71 with Ohio State in my first year(sweet revenge for this years final four game). I gave the ball to Sullinger and willed my way to victory with him and ended up with 26 points his highest point total of the season.
The Final four was the number one overall seed Ohio State(me) vs. 1 seed Missouri and the other side was 1 seed Kansas vs 4 seed Sam Houston State who had an incredible season. The Missouri game was back and forth and Kim English tied it up at 67 all with 4 seconds left. I called time out and got the ball to Deshaun Thomas and drove the length of the floor and somehow made a tough shot going out of bounds against two Missouri defenders with no time remaining and won 69-67. Would be up there Christian Laettner's shot.
I had to go through 16 seed Western Michigan, 8 seed Xavier, 4 seed North Carolina(who had beat me earlier in the season) and 6 seed Princeton who made a tremendous run to the elite 8. We ended up 36-2 with losses to Arizona State(first game of the year) and North Carolina who I was up on all game but Harrison Barnes took over and I lost. The difficulty level I think is fine with how high the player ratings were for the team. There were a lot of close games even with low level Big Ten schools that came down to the end. I except 10+ losses next year as I lose my top 2 scorers and will have a weak bench.
Deshaun Thomas and Jared Sullinger both left early but I got a surprise and Aaron Craft decided to stay even though his draft buzz was lottery pick all season.
My projected starting lineup for year 2 is:
PG: Aaron Craft Jr.
SG: John Cowen Fr. (12th overall recruit, 5th ranked SG)
SF: Lenzelle Smith Jr.(probably my most clutch player in tourny)
PF: Evan Ravenel Sr.
C: Amir Williams So. (came on strong at the end of the year)Last edited by weeeeeeez; 04-24-2012, 04:52 AM.The Ohio State University

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
My CHoops just arrived today! Going to take some time getting used to the controls after playing 2k12 but that ain't stoppin' me from jumping into a closed legacy. I will track it in the Dynasty HQ forum and will post some occasional updates here as well.#WashedGamerComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
After 14 years with Clemson... 339-146- Two Final Fours (One title)
- 2 Elite Eights
- 4 Sweet Sixteens
- 2 ACC Championships
- Coach of the year, National and ACC
I accepted the job at Kentucky, and first year was 17-15. Currently in my second year I am 22-10, and approaching the SEC tournament. I'm about to take them to their first NCAA tournament since 2017. Since I've been here recruiting has been rough. When I was at Clemson I had assist on and barely had to do recruiting. First year I landed a 4* C, this year I nabbed a 4* PG.Comment

This is my favorite team of all-time. They are so fundamentally sound. Every game we outrebound, outassist, outsteal, outblock, outhustle every team we face. Haven't lost a game, no team has shot above 35%, no team has left with less than 15 TOs. Going into the conference tournament, with our smallest win, being by fifteen.
Oh yeah, only one senior, and the #1 recruiting class coming in.Support Local Sports

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Got through my worst season finished at .500 lost first round on NIT.. Had surprise run to elite eight last year with a subpar team, right now 15-2 with a real deep team and got a good class coming next year so we should be good for awhileComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Took over URI in legacy mode and Im 5 seasons in.
never been fired, but based on that performance/security bar found in the coach profiles, Id say Im on the verge of being fired from URI. 5 seasons in and no tourney appearances, all seasons have been sub 500. poor recruiting classes etc.
current season Im 6-12, 1-1 in conference play. I hope to get to .500 and save my job.
On the flip side-losing has never been this fun. every win I get feels like a huge reward.
Loving this game still!!!!!!Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just a quick recap of my legacy so far...
2007-08 Morehead St 28-3 (Second Round)
2008-09 Morehead St 26-7 (Second Round)
2009-10 Morehead St 29-6 (Championship Game)
2010-11 Morehead St 20-13 (Sweet 16)
2011-12 UC-Irvine 33-2 (National Champions)
2012-13 UC-Irvine 12-0 (Have beat 4 Top 10 schools already)
I took Morehead State as far as I could of for the 4 seasons I was coach their. The highlight of the school was making it to the National Title game against Louisville, only to come up short in a close defeat. The best school available I thought was UC-Irvine from the Big West. They only had 2 seniors that were going to be gone, with some nice fresh talent awaiting me. I'm glad I took the job as I rolled to National Champs my first year as the AntEaters coach. I hope to lock up a Bigger school after this year, but now getting some 4 * recruits I might want to stick it out for a couple more years as well.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I've been reading about everyones legacies.....keep it up! I will introduce you to my current closed legacy.
I'm in my 12th season [2 at Elon, 5 at Nevada, 3 at Saint Louis, currently in my second year at DePaul]
My career record is 311-70.
I started out with Elon and took them to the tourney and lost in the first round 2 years in a row.
After that I took the job at Nevada who had a few 4 star and 3 star recruits coming in with great potential. I had 2 awesome SF who could really shoot it from 3 as well as take their man to the basket. Rashaun Vaughn and Fendi Lynch took us to the Sweet Sixteen in my first year with Nevada and to the Elite Eight in the third year there. They ended their career losing in the second round of the big dance to our rivals, UNLV [who stole a lot of my recruits, by the way]. I stayed one more season at Nevada and had a nice 5 star freshman who took us to the Final Four where we lost to Maryland, the eventual championship team.
I had an opportunity to play in better conferences during the coaching carousel after our Final Four appearance. I turned down the Georgia Tech and Miami jobs and decided to go to Saint Louis. I had an absolute blast playing with Saint Louis. Rick Majerus retired and had a couple of Elite Eight runs with this program in my game.
In my first year I had a 4 star point guard Jonathan O'Dell, a senior, who was the leader of our team and set the tone with his defense and his playmaking ability. I had 4 future NBA players. Jonathan O'Dell was a senior and left for the draft after year 1. The other 3 future NBAers were Paul Dumblauski a 6'10" PF who came off the bench and could shoot the 3, Michael Moreno, an athletic 6'8" PF who was a great rebounder and finisher around the rim with a decent mid range jumpshot, and Major Curry, a 7 footer who patrolled the paint and was unique on offense because of his ability to pass out of the high post. We made it to the Final Game in my first year with this squad and we lost......to Maryland! The next season we had to play PG by committee and were actually still finding ways to win, in fact we went undefeated and lost in the Sweet Sixteen to Louisville, ending our season at 36-1. I stayed one more season and lost in the Sweet Sixteen yet again. A lot of my good players had graduated and we were led by Phillip Cammon, a 6'2 SG who basically did nothing more than shoot threes.
Now, I am at DePaul, which was the team I wanted to coach from the start. I had an opportunity to go there after my second year at Saint Louis but they were terrible and had a lot of young players. In our first season we were a 2 seed in the Big Dance, but we lost in the second round to Arizona. We finished that season at 28-7.
Currently we are 5-0 with a lot of freshman and sophomore. We probably wont do as well as we did last season; we had 2 really good seniors who hit big shots and played consistently. I was able to get a 5 star recruit to come to DePaul for my second year and he is really shining. Bronsen Platt, a 6'8 PF is actually having to play SF because of our lack of depth at that position. His training is strictly ball handling and passing.
The Big East is pretty tough; last season the final game was Louisville over West Virginia. It's going to be a challenge though and I'll likely stay at DePaul for a while. After I win a championship or 2, I'm going to rebuild a mid major school in North Carolina....most likely Davidson.Last edited by 3rdAnswer; 04-30-2012, 10:35 PM.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist
