I blew Sacramento St out, but my wins against Northern Arizona, Idaho St., and Weber St. were all by 7 or less. Some great games. Just like the real squad, my team is centered around Archibeque and Taibi. I find a lot of success using the inside-out game. If they double Archibeque low, I kick it back out to Taibi for a three. I'm quite concerned about year 2 with this team, though. Both Taibi and Archibeque graduate, and there's really nobody else on this team that can create his own shot. I'm trying to get Beitzel (a redshirt freshmen) to develop a three point shot. I have him working on nothing but shooting.

My recruiting is going as well as can be expected. I'm pretty much guaranteed the three 2* guys I'm going for, as I'm the only school that's showing interest. That sorta scares me. I have a 6-3 SG out of Denver, a 6-9 C out of Layton, Utah, and a 7-2 center out of Salt Lake City. I used the 7-2 guy seven times in the ABL, and fell in love with him. The guy's got a great touch around the basket.

Also, this is the first sports game that actually has me yelling at the screen as if I was watching a real game on TV. Great times.
What about Mason, whose a sophomore, perhaps he can develop....but yeah, when I was playing with them in 2k7, Taibi & Archibeque were the team....

I'm 0-9 with MD-Eastshore, they're the only team that's rated below 60, kinda regret it..I suck so bad at this game, I'm playing on starter and I'm getting blown out by my conf. opponents, but I only lost by 3 against Iowa...I dunno how ppl play on All-Conf. I'm getting beat by 20 and 30 pts a game on Starter, I might have to stoop down low and start playing on walk-on...damn..

Just played a great game with Citadel against Wofford, double overtime thriller. We'd both traded misses at the buzzer in regulation and OT 1. Down 3 with 15 seconds to play, swung the ball around to my SF who drilled a contested shot to tie the game. Wofford hurries the ball down the court, finds their PF... wide open shot from the wing and he misses it.. My SG Simmons grabs the board, 5 seconds to play, sprints up the court, pulls up from about 25 feet top of the key... SWISH! at the buzzer. We win 98-95, my first buzzer beater in this game. Brought my record to 7-7, but we've got Davidson next, who just blew me out of the building the first time around.

2-1 with Morehead now. I was in a tight game with Western Illinois, and then went on a 14-0 run and blew them out by 16. Lost by 4 to Bowling Green, because my team forgot how to shoot mid-range jumpers, and 3 pt jumpers. They are getting it in practice tomorrow!!!!!!!

Playing as North Florida, had my first buzzer beater against Notre Dame. Down 1 with the ball and 20 seconds to go, got fouled and made 1 of 2 to tie it. ND brings the ball down and misses a contested 3 and I get rebound and call timeout with 3.7 seconds...Have to go 3/4 court but for some messed up reason they don't contest the inbounds pass so I am able to easily inbound to half-court, my PG Timberlake takes it to the top of the key and drains the 3 to win it at the horn! I was fired up as it was my first win against a decent team. Through 1 conference game I am 8-3 with the 3 losses coming to Maryland, Florida, and Miami (FL)-I should have won this one, dug myself a big 1st half hole and couldn't quite claw my way out of it. All in all, I am very happy with the progress of my squad.

1-2 with St. Francis (NY). MAN this legacy is addictive..ive ripped off 3 straight games this morning. Beat Maine, lost to Hartford and St. Johns.

I figured out how to best use this squad and really having fun with it. With these small schools I'd rather start a lower rated guy who can shoot and give myself the best chance of scoring. I got 1 freshman 2 guard, Rocco Rubino who can flat shoot it..Im going to try to develop him into a JJ Redick clone. Another guy sami pekola who aint shabby shooting the rock either.

im 8-10(6-5) with Eastern Illinois Panthers. Started off horrible but I have now won 4 in a row and look somewhat respectable in conference play. I have a SO SG Romain Martin who has a silky jump shot. If I can get his stroke going the game usually ends with good results. Career Legacy is so much more consuming and fun than Association. I think its because I can keep my interest in it for 30 games and then want to play with all my new players that I recruited, compared to keeping interest for 82 games and then playing with whatever free agents and crappy draft picks that sit on the bench.

We are about to start conference play in my Texas St legacy. After losing to Kennesaw St at home we have ripped off two straight wins against SMU and UT-Pan Am. Bush scored 33 against Pan Am and was draining every shot he attempted. We are sitting at 7-3 overall and our first two conference games are against 2-9 Northwestern St and 1-8 Central Arkansas, but they are both on the road. I'm hoping to win both, but we will see.

Yeah, if I can catch Rubino wide open he drains it. I like to start Yosoufou at C, because I need the rebounding and he is adequate in the middle and a mismatch for most teams I played so far. I see the CPU constantly doubling him after going inside a few times to him. I can't get Pekkola to shoot well unless driving, but I love his rebounding and size.

I am currently at 4-2, and see my team's confidence growing fast. I can't get williams to finish midrange training to save my life...his shot is hard. I do love this team's speed in transition though and i am rarely beat getting back on D. Following those halftime adjustments seems to be working for me so far too.

My "Fab 5" is looking better each week, and I have backups in case I don't land any one of those 5 HS seniors.

I was thinking of doing the same thing..I like Hines and Burton can score but having 2 6'5" "big men" is a problem lol.

Williams is hard because he is also so dang short..i dont shoot with him unless I have some space.

Pekkola has consistently lead my team in assists so far.

Funny that you brought up following the half time adjustments. I was blowing out maine and the adjustments suggested applying some full court pressure. Well I do and what happens? I get shredded and have to hang on for life to win by 3 lol

We just won our home opener against Rice which was big, but have two guaranteed losses coming up against Texas and A&M.

I really like this team as they play my style of ball, which is simple just shoot if your open, but with some teams that leads to a 20% shooting % as some people can only score two feet from the basket.

The team relies heavily on Brandon Bush, who is a 6'7" Jr SG who can do everything. The only reason he is here and not at some big 12 school seems to be his speed and D, but offensively he is avg around 20 points a game for me.
Bush is a monster....Im with Texas St as well. He is putting up 28 PPG for me. I use him as a shooter first, slasher second. He has a stroke, over 50% from three on whatever level the game comes with and no sliders changed. I just play the games.

Im 7-1 with my lone loss to A&M. They were tough. Texas sucks in that game though.

I changed my lineup though to this: Jefferson to the bench for Benson I believe. Holder starts at the 2. Bush at the three. Johnson at the four and Sloan at the five.

Im doing really good recruiting...it's too easy I think. I have three five stars at #1 on their list. All American players, two foreign but I haven't offered. I heard they aren't good ranked players so Im looking at some three stars too. I got 5 schollys to give out.

I am about to start conference play here soon, so I need to get my xbox back. I got the three rings so I can only play it at my buddy's house.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I started with South Dakota State. Spent 5 years there. Had a few up and down seasons. Decided to bolt after my 5th year. I'm primarily simming & recruiting until I get a decent mid major job then I'm gonna start playing a little more.

I simmed all day today through the 5th season. Got to the job openings and went to Youngstown State (which was a solid move for me into a mid major conference). Well I was recruiting and it froze on me (PS2).

So now I just re-simmed the SDS season and decided to go to Sam Houston State who is actually #7 right now after finishing 24-4 last season. Not a bad set up for me. No idea why the coach left, I forgot to check. My goal right now is to make it to Hawaii, UWGB, or Youngstown State. With an ultimate goal of a Big 10 school.

I landed a couple guys that were 4* when I was with SDS. Stole them out of MN and OR. I somehow made a connection into Oregon and was snagging decent players there.

Started my Legacy over because of my sucky recruits(still NC A&t) playing with the seniors again was fun, i did everything, ABL and looked at recruits thourough, and im actually satisfied with the ones i got, Now my team is pretty good still, and since i used the backup PG more he came into the season with a 3 pt icon, THANK GOODNESS. *One tip for everyone, spots with seniors, make sure to play people that will end up there backups, or next seasons gonna suck, unless you somehow get good recruits, which is impossible i think, to do with your starting team in your legacy atleast* I won the NCAA TOuRNAMENT TOO!!!! i was shocked, when you put minutes down the game is alot easier, i was playing 12 mins during season, and 5 mins during the tournament, to finish it tonight. and i won, i made comebacks of more then 10 in the final 4 Tennesse(1st time ive beaten them in the 4 times ive played them in my first go around in my legacy and the second, i almost quit) and championship game against North Carolina, I wont lie im hyped to play now, but im tired, and i always get up before 1 so good night people!!
