Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

So, I finish the regular season at 21-2... great year for me. one conference loss and im in the tourny as a 3 seed. I beat Georgia Southern by 9, although they had the lead most of the first half. So here comes the 2nd round, where ive been eliminated 2 years in a row. I get #11 Alabama, who is 89 overall. I feel bad about it but i start off great. Im up 14-4.... then all of a sudden its 18-14 alabama. Anyway it was close, me down most the way, but at the end i was able to get it within 3, i steal the ball with 4 seconds left and idk why i didnt take a timeout, but i just looked for a 3 to get off in time, and i have my 7'6" center take it... the last person i want. He bricks it terribly and i lose again in the 2nd round.

So its been 3 years at Brown, and i got a 4 year extension, yet i didnt kno if i wanted to come back. Then, of course, i see 3 offers, all terribly uninteresting, so i return. I lost 4 key players to graduation and another left the squad. Luckily for me, recruiting went great. I brought in a 5star SG (hes a Junior cuz of Juco, but with most my main guys beings juniors, i felt like after their senior year would be the year i leave). Also got a 4 star 7' PF from Serbia that can shoot 3s. then i got a nice center to backup my giant, and then a 6'9" SF. He cant shoot by ratings, but he'll come off the bench and add more size. Also had a solid 71 rated soph SG transfer from New Mexico St, so while this year should be good, next year, where the 3 players graduating are subs, will be great with my squad of players and a few more recruits. Im hoping to crack the Sweet 16 this year and the Elite 8 by next year. I could leave after this year, but i think ill have to stay with my returning players. The year after, though, is pretty much the year i set after year 1 for when its time to leave

Still in my first season with my Tar Heels, i'm currently 15-7 going into another ACC game against UVA.....to my suprise, #2 Duke came to the Dean Smith Center and they started out the game flat and I took advantage....Zeller and Henson were beasting on the boards and Leslie McDonald and Kendall Marshall were shooting lights out from 3....The Blue Devils made a few runs but outside of Singler, no one else really got going so we ended up beating them by 12.....I'm ready to finish this season and get to the NCAA tourney

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I am in year 4 with Pepperdine with some decent success. We went to the tournament in year 1, finishing (20-11, 9-5) but lost in the opening round to K-State.

Year 2 we had a better record (23-10, 10-4) but went to the NIT and lost in the second round to Texas Tech).

Year 3 we finished (21-13, 8-6) and once again missed the NCAA tournament due to another first round WCC tourney loss. We lost in the second round of the NIT at Minnesota.

In our fourth season, we are well on our way to an NCAA tournament bid. We are currently (20-3, 6-0) and ranked 9th in the nation. We also have landed two of the top recruits in the nation and should be set for the next few seasons.

I am likely to stay at Pepperdine, unless there is an opening at my alma mater Buffalo. I would love to run in the MAC too, but I am really enjoying the West Coast Conference.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

So I am on here all the time and really never post anything. I enjoy reading alot of others dynasties. I have decided to post my new dynasty after having the game on PS2 and now purchasing xbox360 and rebuying the game I started an IU dynasty because of their struggles at the moment. I made a roster move by putting jones on the bench because he was a chucker and wasn't mixing with the team well after the 1st couple of games. I slowed down to half court game with focus on defense and rebounding and seemingly found the right combination for this team because they have played great. I started off the season winning the 1st nine games and finishing the season 22-8 and ranked #9. I go into Big ten tourney and lose 1st game to Minnesota. I go into tournament as #4 seed and play St. Bonaventure and it was a grueling tough game and I won 76-67. The next game #12 Toledo which I blow out 80-62. Now the test against Virginia Tech which came into the Tourney as the overall #1 seed and what a game. I was up 42-34 at the half and then 55-47 and was looking to blow it out but V.Tech came roaring back and took 6 point lead. The hoosiers kept coming with their great ball movement and hitting the 3 ball (13 for the game) and end up winning after a miss by V.Tech w/ 8 secs. left 80-78 hoosiers. I am doing CPU vs CPU and the only thing I do is manage the roster and recruit. I am using jukemans cpu sliders and I believe truegameplays roster I think.. Just wanted to post a great opening season again. I love this game as well as the rest of you!!!

So I endeed up losing to Bradley #7 seed in the next game. Hoosiers couldn't throw it in the ocean and lost by 9 76-67. West Virginia was the National Champion and now the fun part off the recruiting season. Let's see how it goes!!!

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

year 4 at Brown and my team is trouble! Im off to a 5-0 start, with all my wins being quality in my mind. At home, I blew out San Diego St, then beat Detroit by 15 after it was close until the final 3 minutes, and then blew out Marist, who is rated 82 (Im only 78 at the moment). I then hosted UConn in a great matchup. They also had a 7'6" center and he can shoot jumpers unlike my 7'6" center. It was close until the end, and UConn missed a 3 to tie it at the end of the game. I then take my 4-0 record to #9 Texas. I dominate the first half and Im up 11 at the break. Giving my starters a rest (and my backup PG is out a month with a broken hand) my lead diminishes and I fall behind by 5. I get the starters back in, and I am able to take the lead because Texas started only shooting 3s and kept missing (Cory Joseph is a senior in this season, he missed a lot of 3s), and I was able to take a nice lead late and win by about 8.

I have other big games coming up, against Tennessee, North Carolina, and somebody else that's good and ranked. Also have St. Marys towards the end of the nonconference schedule before conference play begins. I think for sure this is the year I get to the Sweet 16. I have guys that will hit the 3 ball all day long, my center is a beast on both sides of the court, and with my PG he has been a great distributer and will make the few shots a game I shoot with him. My bench is solid but once my PG comes back we'll be in better shape, because I only have one guard on my bench other than the PG and my only SF is more like a PF.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

so my Brown season is currently on hold. I simmed the remainder of year 4 because I really just felt like my time with the team is done, as much as I love the team. I won the Ivy League for the 4th straight year (barely) and went to the tourny. I beat WKU, and then Northern Colorado (who was a 13 seed) for my first Sweet 16 with Brown. I then had to face UConn, who I beat in the early season by 3... but because i simmed, i lost big. Either way it was a great year but now to the important part. I saved right before the Finals because I do not know what team I will be with next year. I could return to Brown, but the options Im most interested in that I did get offers from are Old Dominion, Milwaukee, SIU, and Missouri St. There was Gonzaga (I hate them), Nevada, and some other solid teams, but they arent ones Id pick. As of now, Im leaning towards Milwaukee because Jereme Richmond from Illinois transferred there at the beginning of the past season, so Id have him for his senior year, which is very intriguing. Ive always likes the Horizon because I live around those teams, and Milwaukee was the only offer from that league I got. Old Dominion had a bad year in the CAA, and they have some solid recruits coming in, which Milwaukee has a bunch of 2 stars and is the main reason I dont want to go there. Either way, I decided for now to start a new one with Hampton, and if I like it i just may continue with it for a while, and if not, Ill go back to my Brown legacy and way my options again.

I do like this Hampton squad. Best players are juniors, so its a team where Ill be good for 2 years and then either if i like the recruits i can stay (like with Brown) or if now, head elsewhere. As of now, Id assume Id leave because I feel like the best offers are right after the 2nd year, as Ive noticed after year 3 there isnt many good ones ever, and year 4 is at the point where I feel like ive been there so long it needs to be the perfect offer, which is the predicament I have at Brown. The conferences I really want to join after the 2nd year would be WCC, A10, Horizon and MVC, but there are others Id take if its the right team.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

off to a 5-0 Start with Hampton. My non conference schedule isnt as tough as I normally would make it, and played some easy teams. The 2 best wins were at BYU, which I won with a buzzer beater (Jimmer was a beast, but nobody else did much), and @ George Washington (which was an OT win in which i struggled to tie it at the end of regulation but finally on my 3rd possesion at trying to tie it I did with 4 seconds left.)

Most the games I play arent against too tough of teams, and the two that will be tougher are St. Johns and Akron, which are both away, and are my last 2 nonconference games. I believe I have 2 more games before those 2, but if I can get to conference play with only 2 losses, Ill feel good about my chances in the MEAC. I plan on taking this season a lot slower than most, as I will play every game. Im in no hurry to leave or get to the next year, so Im just playing one or two games every few days, and see how it goes. I still havent gone back to my Brown legacy, but Im thinkin I may make a decision in the next few weeks as to what I will do with it

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Been a while since I played this, decided to continue my legacy(still early on though in year one)
I've got Grambling on a 4 game win streak at 4-2, before playing the last non-conference game @ Colorado. Derron Hobbs, my PG and leading scorer, is just a beast. He's lights out from behind the arc and just plain dominates. Sad thing is he's the only consistent scorer on my team.

I just won at Houston 54-51 in an awesome game that came down to the very last shot, a 3 pointer by the CPU that almost made it at the buzzer. I held my breath when he took that shot, it was a very hard fought game that I did not want to lose.
If I can continue this win streak into my conference schedule, who knows what might happen.

EDIT: Got stomped by Colorado 60-41, I could not make a shot to save my life in the second half. It was close in the first but I couldn't even buy a free throw once the second half rolled around. Everyone was just ice cold and I turned the ball over so many times. It was easily my sloppiest game. 4-3 going into conference play.

Played the first two games in conference, both GREAT games. First one was at home against Alabama State. ASU was down 73-71 but had the ball with 5 seconds to go. They scored with under a second left to tie, I missed a long three that would have won at the buzzer. So, overtime comes and my team can't be stopped. I outscored them 13-2 for a final score of 86-75. Awesome game though.

Second game is at home again this time against Alabama A&M. They were a much slower paced team and the score reflected that. I was down 53-49 with around a minute to go. I have the ball and push it down the floor quickly, work the ball around to Derron Hobbs who takes a challenged three, but it goes in! I was contemplating intentional fouling them, but there was still a decent amount of time left and I trusted my defense. Only about five seconds into the possession a CPU controlled player on my team gets called for a reach and they're in the bonus so they go to the line.
But, the guy misses BOTH of the free throws! I go down and score a quick two points thanks to C Frank Snow, who was beasting it the whole game. About 20 seconds remain, 54-53 I'm leading but AAU has the ball. They choose to eat the clock a little, down to around 8 to go and I force him to take a really tough shot, so tough that it was an air ball! One of my guys snags the ball, pretty much game over. They foul me and I put it away going 2/2 at the line. 56-53 the final. Intense games I've played so far...I LOVE IT!

I've got a 6-3(2-0) record as of now, going into my next game at 5-9 Southern.

7-0 With Hampton. I love this team. I played Rice yesterday. Down 5 with about a minute left, My best player Pellum hit a 3 to cut it to 2. I fouled and Rice hit both FTs. I came down and got the ball inside to get a quick bucket, but my center missed. He got his own board, passed it out to Pellum who nailed another 3 and cut it to 1. Then instead of fouling, cuz there was a 5 second difference on the shot clock and game clock, i steal it. Before I can even do anything, Rice stole it from me. So now I have to foul. Still 1 and 1, guy misses the first, and my big guy is tipping it and doesnt grab it and Rice gets it back. I foul, they hit both. Down 3 with like 25 or so seconds left. I run my plays trying to get somebody inside for a quick easy bucket, but i cant get it. I just give it to Pellum and keep it for a while. Decide to just step up and shoot a 3... he drains it with 4 seconds left!! I have my press going. On the inbounds, my PF steals it, i call TO but i dont have any so i quickly get it to the closest player that can shoot, and its Pellum. He's behind the arc and he gets the shot off as late as possible for it to count... AND ITS IN!!! Crazy finish. Pellum is a monster. Ends the game hitting 4 straight 3PTs and was 5-9 for the game. Also his 2nd buzzer beater for the win.

Then I beat Portland in the next game easily.

Now I got 2 road games, at St. Johns and Akron in the next week to end nonconference play. If I can escape against St. Johns, I'd be shocked, but the way Ive been able to hit the 3 ball, I know I can win. This Hampton team is pretty solid inside and out, so I have many things I can do to score. Im hoping to win at least 1 of the 2, but if I can win both, it will be huge for when conference play starts

14-9 at Nevada with an 82 rpi. just suffered a 3 game losing streak but rebounded to get a win @ hawaii. got a winable game at home vs new mexico st but then travel to face 18-4 fresno st. i beat them the first time time on a buzzer beater 79-78. a win there could really help my rpi out
