First loss with Hampton. It was a tough one. I kept it close with St. Johns for most the game, and then in a matter of a minute, i was down 11 with 3 minutes left. I was able to go on a huge run after that and even took the 3 point lead with 19 seconds left. St Johns came down, they shot and missed a 3, and then got the offensive board, kicked it out to DJ Kennedy and he drained it with 6 seconds left. I brought it upcourt and called TO with 3 seconds left. Pellum went on a tear behind the arc, so I passed it into him looking to get another pass inside for a short bucket, but my O was set bad so I had to shoot and he missed.

In OT, it was 80-82 St Johns, and then they went on a 10-2 run and Im down 10. I was able to cut the deficit and I was down 4 with 5 seconds left and all i could do was hope to get fouled on a 3 and hit it, but neither happened. It was a tough game but it happens and I still feel great about the team.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Update on the Grambling legacy: Suffered my first conference loss at Southern, 55-47. It was close pretty much the whole way, but they were pulling away and I was not hitting any shots at the end. Tough loss.

Then I just played what might be the weirdest game I have played in 2k8. It was a snooze-fest, at Alcorn State(2-10). I found out why they only have two wins. SLOOOOOWPOOOOOKE offense that can't make a shot. They ran the shot clock down to 5-7 seconds EVERY possession and usually it ended in me stealing/blocking or them just missing it horribly. Of course my guys were not doing much better, missing way too many shots than I would like them to.

Final score? 43-25, I won. If my guys had brought their A-game, it would have been a serious blowout. 18-14 was the half time score, I decided to up the defensive pressure and push my offensive tempo up, essentially try to spice up a very boring game. Didn't work that well, but all in all I can't complain with a victory.

        I'm now 7-4, 3-1 in the SWAC.

I picked up this game this weekend for $3.00 used at gamestop. WOW. I feel like I stole something, haha.......

I fired up a open legacy with my Dawgs, 2010 rosters, and a AA slider set from share that seemed solid after testing in a few games. Played first game at home against Kennasaw St.(from state of Georgia),won game by 15. Felt realistic. Does the chant creator work good, seems pretty in depth, could have some fun with that. This game is so in depth, and play is solid, glad i picked this up instead of ncaa 10; even though the play in that game seems solid, dynasty mode not really that much in depth. Now with this and 2k11 for my hawks fix, im in hoop dreams. Rest of my non conference games are a mix of lower teams and some ranked teams from power conferences, cannot wait to see how it plays out. Got Colorado next. Than SEC games will be a tough ride, hopefully I can get 18 wins atleast?

damn...i picked it up this weekend too for $3..lol...i started my legacy with Southern University since im from Baton Rouge...playing with the 2010 Rosters...i havent touched the sliders b/c i just wanted to get a feel for the game...So far, i've beaten Texas Tech, LSU, and Southeastern Louisiana Univ...I lost to Gonzaga in a close one...i was trailing by 20 going into the second half and ended up losing by 5 b/c of the full court pressure i applied...

Question...is there anyway to start the season in 2010 vs. 2007?? In other words, i would like the schedule to mirror this years schedule as opposed to the 2007-08 schedule

Another SWAC legacy, I see. Grambling was more or less a random choice as I have absolutely no connection to the school whatsoever, but the SWAC is a fun conference. Sounds like you're off to a good start with Southern.

To answer your question, the only way that I know of to "start" in 2010 is to just simulate until 2010 but you're not going to be starting fresh. I don't think you can just choose 2010 to start from, unfortunately.

yea...another SWAC legacy...which i was surprised b/c from what i remember, in NCAA football, you can just start off with whatever school you want (note...i havent played it in like 3 years so i dont know)...but i think it just makes the game more challenging by starting off at the smaller schools....

                will keep the updates coming...

I Created my own school and I'm using that for my Legacy. Schools name is CCU(Calvary Christian University) named after my High school CCS. I went 34-4 and made an unbelievable run to the NCAA Title. winning each tourney game by no more then 2-3 pnts. Beat Rival Memphis in the Final. 72-69. Lost alot of SR's and 1 player transfered to Clemson. So now the real work begins right now i'm 8-7 and 2-0 in Conference play (Cusa). my real player is #32 Brad Magee He is a Hometown kid and averaging 23.5 pnts a game. Trying to recruit a C for Next yr. My Tallest player is 6-9 then 6'8 and down. so need some size. Lost on a 7-1 275 center to Fsu. close to locking in a 7-2 center from the Brazil (i think) and already signed a 7-1 244 C for next season. still have alot of games to go with Rival Memphis on Feb 26 to determine the Cusa title.

That's always bugged me too, plus I'm too lazy to do an open legacy and manually adjust the height of all the centers across the NCAA. It was even worse on PS2, I'd do what I called a "behemoth search" and see how many recruits were 7'2 or taller and there would be at least a dozen kids every year. I had a fun legacy on PS2 where I ended up as Providence, my starting center was 7'4, my backup center was 7'6, starting pf was 7'2, hell even my starting sf was 7'1 (with good 3 pt shooting). It's not as bad on PS3 but there are still too many giants.

I mad a run to the Elite Eight with St. John's in my last Legacy season(13th or 14th overall), I only like 6-8 regular season games, including only 1 OOC, I had an RPI of 2. And my best two players were freshmen, I didn't lost anybody important, so I figured I would roll through the following season. But then I play the sames and I'm sitting at 8-6 heading into Big East play, I need a strong conference season to make the NCAA tournament. I love how this game keeps being difficult so many years in.

hey guys...in an open dynasty mode if i pick a mid major like utah state can i still get a better job at a bigger school eventually?

                            or am i stuck?

because i know with a closed dynasty theres a coaching carousel i'm just wondering if its the same in an open.
