Right now, the AI is so skewed and just flat out bad on 09 that...for ME..it's nearly unplayable. There is no "variety" in how teams play, etc. All QBs are incredible, all O lines are brickwalls, etc.

I play Florida and it feels exactly like playing Lousiana Monroe.

Now...in Hoops, it couldn't be more different. I FEEL the pressure of going into Cameron and taking on Duke. I feel the ability to control the game if I'm North Carolina and I'm playing Radford.

Big time players kill me. Bad players get killed. I love it.
Totally agree. Variety is what makes sports games fun. I love how College Hoops does a good job of separating the good teams from the bad, the slow-it-up teams from the run-run-run teams. Every game is different.

And the sliders really work, too! Cool!

yeah, it is funny how it works that way. when i win against a better team than mine, i feel it was because of my coaching and patience. when i lose, it is because they just were better than my team.

i have a team of all average to good guys with only one great one. i can play anyone. but while the drop off is not significant on the defensive side, most of my backups cannot score. so if the other team goes on any kind of run i am in trouble.

i am now focusing their training to scoring. hopefully next year i can win games i lose this year.

Cosign...Still playing this great game. Don't have a ps3 so I haven't expirienced the greatness of mlb 08, the only other game that compares from a gameplay point of view is top spin 3...

Re: This game owns my soul.

what amazes me is how much depth there is. i went to each players focus for practice and started messing with the individuals. i am not sure how it works, but i have a 7' 5' japanese or chinese red shirt freshman who clearly needs to develop. i focused on his areas and look forward to seeing him next year.

i set him to work on scoring, since his evidently can't.

i set everything to ratings because there are no such thing as numbers in the real world for stats. i love learning each players weakness /strength without looking to see if he is a 67 or 77 free throw shooter. this game and apf feel more real because of that.

the only misleading thing is grades are position relative. meaning if your C is a 66 rated at 3 Pts he may be rated as a B 3Pt shooter for a center, but your 76 3Pt rated gaurd may be a C+ for a guard. i made that mistake when i started shooting 3 pts late with my B+ center. he missed several before i figured it out.

I played my first full game in CH2K8 in about 5 months, man this is such a beautiful video game. I played 12 min halves, default AC with UConn (me) at Pitt. I lost 58-46 mostly because I have no idea wtf a sixaxis free throw is.

I managed to kinda get the hang of it but still shot 7/19 from the charity stripe. The animations, gameplay, atmosphere, etc is just amazing in this game. I will have no problem playing this baby all winter again this year.

Now back to work on the rosters!

Different sport or not, this game puts NCAA 09 to shame. Just played a thriller FSU vs the Gators and this game was nearly perfect.

Yeah, wow. The tallest I think Ive seen is like 7'2-minus of course Kenny George while he roamed one half of the Asheville court.

I won my first national championship with Western Michigan, we beat NC State in the championship game.

I was tempted to come back for the repeat since the entire lineup was coming back for the senior year. But I instead took the job at Maryland (North Carolina was available too).

Tried to get one of my recruits from Western to follow me to MD but he signed with them anyway. So I promptly added them to the schedule to show them who was boss.

They promptly beat me by 13. Lol. That really was a powerhouse squad.

just picked this one up and holy moly I have never played a more complete, realistic sports title in my life (I owned PONG on release)

                              amazing stuff

                                They're so-so.

Some have specific chants (you can also create a custom one).

Sometimes they will go crazy when you're on a run and sometimes they will be quiet. They do get quiet when you're on the road and you're punishing another team. Such a great sound.
