Is it possible to change conferences in this game?

some of you guys rely on 70s... I rely on 60s except maybe one person.

Training really does work. My center went from sucking to being a beast in the paint.
No, there is no changing conferences. The only thing you can do is accept a coaching job at another University. Unfortunately, that means leaving all your boys behind for new kids.

Re: This game owns my soul.

Im in my 6th year of my legacy...(4th at Missouri St.) I have built this team into a stellar mid major power. Were always in the top 5 mid major polls and last season I had my first kid go to the NBA and that same team made the final 4.....We were a 5 seed beatin 12 Bucknell, 13 Iona (they upset Illonis), 1 Oregan, 3 Villanova....eventually loosing to #1 overal UNC.

The best part about that loss was that UNC was relentless....I was getting upset that my team was giving up alot of layups and dunks so on a UNC fast break with about 3 mins to go (and the game pretty much decided) one of their wings went for a dunk. Out of frustration I went full blast for a block holding down the turbo and I knocked the tarheel flat on his *** as the ball went rolling out of bounds. It was almost like the player that I comitted the foul with felt my frustration cause he walked over the the fouled player and just stood over him in a "WTF you trying to show us up for...... the game is already over.... stop dunking on us A-hole" type move. The UNC player got up and actually shoved the player that committed the hard foul and one of my other players came in and pulled my player away by the wrist!!

      Simply awesome 2k!

Just popped this game in while waiting for my commissioner to advance the week in my NCAA dynasty and I still love this game. It is definitely the most complete sports game on the market. I'm in my first season with Florida (11-5) and was hosting #19 Kentucky (12-4) and we were ahead comfortably most of the game. I'm sure if I didn't save and played that game again I could have easily gotten blown out. That's the great part of this game, every time you turn it on, you never know what the game is going to be like.

I know what you mean...In my tourney run I mentioned above I jumped out to a 20-9 lead in the 1st half v. a good Oregan team.

If I played that game I would lose 7times out of 10. There style is talior made for my style to exploit (ie. no bench depth in the front court, no shooters, small front court).

Even though I was only an 85 and they were a 90.

I also love how you will play great the 1st half then team you face will make adjustments like if your driving to the hoop alot they will now play zone.

I think this is the best advice for those having to wait on their online dynasties to advance. This is the first time I've put CH2K8 back in since NCAA was released and I picked up where I left off with Rider in Season 4 of my career legacy. We are 4-0 with a huge matchup against #18 Villanova this week. Perhaps not the best game to get my feet wet again. I will say this, looking at my starting lineup and all my players that I got used to by name is kind of weird. It really feels like that Vince Vaughn Madden moment in "The Break Up" when he has to give it to "little digitized players with big hearts". We made it to the Sweet 16 last season and hope to go further this year...

I did the same thing...after reading this thread a few times I caved and picked it up used for $20. Only played one game, but I can tell it's going to be a great game. Last time I played CH was 2K5 on the XBox, so it has come leaps and bounds since then. The game I played was UF(me) against Tennessee at the O'Connell Center. I was up huge midway through the second half (15 point lead) and got slack. Next thing I know I was in a dog fight and ended up losing by 2 as UT hit a huge three from the corner in the closing seconds. Great game...

The thing that gets me the most is how much of a variety of games you're able to play in CH2K8. I can go into one game and see immediately that one of my shooters is on and we could run away with it or go in and see nobody' on and get trounced. So many different things have happened to me in this game it's ridiculous. I've blown 25+ point leads and come back from the same...the game just feels like college basketball in every way shape and form.

You could play a game with the same two teams 10 different times and get 10 totally different games.

Re: This game owns my soul.

This game gets me every time I play it. I popped it in and picked up my Florida dynasty about half way through conference play only to have to visit #6 Arkansas. I came out nicely, staying up a constant 5-7 points for the first 7 minutes of the game. Then the Razorbacks went on a nice run and reversed the fortunes and had me down a constant 5-7 points.

Came out of the locker room down 8 and needed to make a run, but a couple early turnovers put me in a larger hole. With about 5 minutes in the game, I was down 12 and started getting a couple stops and had some beautiful ball movement leading to uncontested threes. With my Gators down by 2, Sonny Weems made two bad passes that went the other way for layups, putting my squad up 2. They answered back with a dunk to tie it up with 36 seconds.

I decided to have Walter Hodge play the Isiah role, saying we're either scoring or going into OT, I'm not giving them a chance to score. I called the high isolation for Hodge, had him drive the lane with about 6 seconds left and put up a runner. It hit off the back of the rim, Chandler Parsons came streaking down the lane and threw down a thunderous put back dunk with 2 seconds left! The Hail Mary went begging and the Gators upset the Razorbacks on the road.

This one game was such an emotional roller coaster. My older brother was actually playing his Online Dynasty game for NCAA and was paying more attention to my game than his. This game will be one for the ages my friends (as if we didn't already know that).

I agree... The fun factor is tremendously high.

I actually use this game to come up with plays for my 7th Grade Boy's CYO team that I've coached the last 2 years.

If more folks played it online, I would probably spend 80% of my XBL time playing just this game.

I had the same problem on my 19" flat screen tv. I upgraded to a 22" HD one and now the text is much easier to read. It made a huge difference for me in recruiting. LOL
