    It's all good.

Michigan isn't expected to be good this year. What's the buzz around there? Are they gonna let Tim Hardaway jr. take over?

Arkansas went 14-17, (7-9) and lost at home to both Morgan st. and E.Tennesee state. Rontei Clarke still got his stuff off scoring 26 and 32 points respectively, so if anything on ratings, the entire defense (on the ball) would go down. I don't see them being a good team, they can easily go 9-7 in conf, but they won't be elite. What do you think about MWade? At least they got a 4* player to replace Fortson.

UCONN we're on probabtion (or will have some type of post season ban), so both schools above are better than us
*UCONN is such a draw that the NCAA might make an exception.

HOW DOES THE COMPUTER DECIDE WHO GUNNS?

Just because many of you are returning or new to this game. In Legacy, if you have good enough scouts, they tell u right before the game the opponents stategies, defensive formations , shot distribution, etc. This can be found by both
[1] going to the standings and pushing in the right stick.
[2] Move the right or left bumper until you see it

So i simmed a few games and Cinncinatti shot distribution says 45.9% close
      25.4% medium and 28.6% 3-point

Now just want to round these evenly to 50-25-25 percentage. If there is a gunning center/PF , without 3-point ability, then he will get most of the 50% close, but nothing of the 25% 3-point.

Now if Cinncinatti had a gunner SG, then his close would have to be turned up on this team or else some1 else will get that 50% close.

You should check that out. The only player i was ever able to control was SCurry 2 years ago. I turned the other 11 or 12 players down to 0% shooting and some off the bench at 2 or 3. Curry was 99 everywhere

Nobody shot the ball except him and that point guard, forgot his name, who I probably put at 4 or 5.
It was so much fun cuz he was gonna score 30+ on you and you werent gonna stop it. Just like when he dropped 45 on Georgetown and they beat them. All the other teams that drafted another PG in front of Curry should be repremanded. The Knicks were just one pick away.

      CONTROLLING REALISTIC GAME SCORES

I like my games scores realistic, so i expect to be in the 70's with my offense, so with the gamespeed i set at 11 OR 12 minute halves it works for me. Each game takes 22 min / 26 min and I play at least 2 games b4 i go to work in the morning.

If u guys are slowing down gamespeed and you want realistic scores, you'll have to up your minute halves.

It's all about how much time u want to spend playing a game. I avg 8 games a day once the season starts up until late March. The only other game in my system wil be college FB if we do a league.
I used to play 13 games on WED (b/c THUR im unavailable), but I've calmed down since.
Many of u arn't one game players like me so 1 or 2 games a day is fine for you. Thus a 18 or 16 minute half won't drain you.

This game has been in my xbox since the beginning of SEPT and has no chance at leaving until JAN, so I'm on my xbox for easily 7 hours a day during the week. I have 2 TV's right next to each other, so that doesn't stop me. I can watch MNF and play xbox at the same time.

Dball, what was your tginkin on Powell at center he's seems to short to me. I think you should have Johnson and Waithe at center and Powell should be a PF. Also do you want me to post last years accessories or wait until they play 2 or 3 games

I'll probably do that. Waithe and DJohnson to split time at the 5 and Sanchez backing up Powell at the 4. Seems like Powell might have a little outside shot, if he does, then I'll slide him to the 4 and some other scrub to the 5.I see that Arkansas last year, officially listed GGGFF, then never listed a center. We'll see how many shots from the outside he takes.

I like outside shooting big men.
And you can give me all accesories/ tatoos after 3 games. Thanks

Deepball, Nick Williams from Ole Miss redshirted last year so he's eligible now.

Also, is it possible to change our court back the the default one or to paint everything out of bounds the same as the floor?

Yeah Michigan isn't expected to be any good this year. I don't have a 360 so I don't know who you rated as the best player, but I'm leaning towards Darius Morris. Zack Novak had a down year but figures to bounce back, same could be said for Stu Douglass. I'm not too sure how I'd do Hardaway right now, maybe somewhere in the 68-70 range. I've heard he looks good in practices and can score, and also that he's been running with the starters so who knows.

Good stuff! To expand on this as well DeepBall, Michigan is tricky as far as gunners since they ALL pretty much pull the trigger on any semi-open three that's there. Novak will play a lot more SF after getting time at PF (crazy I know!) last year. Stu Douglass should see some pretty important time too since he's one of the better shooters on the team. Definitely no threat at the Big Ten title, but I'd imagine Hardaway will be given the Manny Harris treatment and be able to pull at will.

I've been fixing everything that is reasonable. As far as the court, the original floor color is hard to duplicate. You'd think they'd have a floor option automatically, but there is none. Check out Youngstown state's court (Horizon league) that's the closest to floor color you're gonna get. Use the same attributes and let me know. I need to see a picture of OLE MISS court before i start messin with it.
Tim Hardaway becomes a gunner just off his name alone. That's the advantge of realeaing the rosters before we really see what's happening.

Version 2 wil come out near the 12th, which is right before the season starts

hey, I've never played 2k8 before today, and using your settings, i got smoked by Detroit (i was Butler)

any suggestions on how to make it easier for all the noobs here?

also, i know McCallum has been brought up already, but i just wanted to mention that Athlon Sports has him as a pre-season all-american......

I'll be posting sometime in the next few days (whenever work and school give way to a little free time) with some simple Butler edits

but i'd like to say that for a version 1, it looks excellent....thanks for all the work!

If you're new to the game and you lost using Butler and their defense? then you need to take it off level "MOP" and downgrade until your skills are back up.
                          Levels

                          MOP

                          All-Conference
                          Starter

And if you're really serious, create your own plays (offense) To me the in-game play books isn't good enough. ANd creating playbooks is fun

If you want to test out your skill level? play at home using a small school vs another small school. That will tell you were you are at.

Let me know the results of each game you play and what level and both teams involved. You got me interested.

I just played Liberty(under 70 rating) vs St. Mary's(81) 12 minute half on MOP. Score tied at 37 at the half. I only had 2 Turnovers and was never blocked. That's how you win in this game. Those 2 things prevent blowouts. Your turnovers must be at a minimum. Also i had 15 FG and 13 assist, that means I got good ball movement, which you'll need to if you're gonna shoot well. My big men only had 8 of the 37 points so i wasn't just pounding it inside.

One correction for Dayton I can suggest. You have Chris Johnson on the bench with no PT, but he's a 3rd-team All A-10 player and was the conference's Most Improved Player last year.
