These issues are all game engine designed. As you can see Duke is the highest rated team in the game, yet they're finishing with a 500 record. The engine is based on the 2007-2008 season. Go on espn and look at the standings and you'll see what teams they're biased and unbiased to.

All freshman are based on a rating system from scout.com. If they're better/worse than rated, then it'll be fixed next years rosters. The rest of the players ratings consist of how good the team is and who the projected starters are. exp: If ARZ is trying to be made as the 3rd best team in NCAA, then the starters ratings must be the 3rd highest in the league collectively in the NCAA.

Let me know if i am the only person getting these types of results. If I am, I apologize, but if not, i think the top teams should be made much better. If it is just the game engine then i guess nothing can be done.

DeepBall, love this idea man, I appreciate you doing this for a game that was made 3 years ago. I do have a question for you though, will sliders affect these rosters? Or do we just play these rosters on default sliders? Might be a dumb question but i was just wondering what sliders do you use to get this True Gameplay?

Here's a game i played today using your rosters. I play on All American 20 min halves and my own custom sliders. The teams I used was the Louisville vs. Butler game that was on last night. Lost 84-72, Mack had 26 points and made 5 3s and Howard had 22 with 12 rebs. I played man to man for defense most of the game but went cold during a stretch that Mack got hot and before i knew it was down by 18 in the 2nd half. The rosters themselves felt great and i was happy to see mack and howard actually playing the right way...now we just need the accessories for the players and we are all set, especially the sleeves like Silva and Jennings wears...awsome roster

I'm using these rosters in a new closed legacy and noticed that there are TON of players averaging way over 30 points a game. I'm not a huge stat guy when it comes to my dynasties, but it is a lot. I'm sure once they get replaced with generated recruits, the numbers will fall back in line.

I'm a big Duke fan and noticed a few minor things. Seth Curry had the wrong number, both of the Plumlees are listed as sophomores when one is a JR, and you had the likes of Casey Peters (and the other guy, assuming is a walk-on) rated pretty high. Peters was ahead of T. Thornton I believe. Was that for the overall team rating? Just wondering.

I just played my first game Nevada @ Wisconsin. (Wisconsin is my #2 team). I led 21-10 at the half. J. Taylor had 11 points (4/5 FG, 3/4 3pt), J. Leuer had 6 pts (3/5 FG), and 4 rebs. For Nevada J. Burris had 4 pts (1/4 FG, 0/1 3pt, 2/2 FT) and K. Panzer had 4 pts (2/5 FG), with 2 rebs.

Nevada went 4/16 (25%) shooting, 0/3 from deep. They had 2 TOs, 6 rebounds, and 2 points in the paint. Wisconsin shot 52% (9/17), 50% from deep (3/6), had 4 assists, 4 turnovers, 11 rebounds and 6 points in the paint.

in the second half Nevada played better, but J. Leuer was the difference. Final score was 50-42 (closer than it shoulda been).

                  J. taylor: 11 pts (4/8 FG, 3/7 3pt)
                  R. Wilson: 8 pts (3/4 FG, 2/3 3pt), 4 rebs (he's only plyaed in 1 game thus far in the season)
                  L. Leuer: 25 pts (11/15 FG, 1/2 3pt, 2/2 FT), 5 rebs, 4 asts
(Leuer in real life after 3 games avg: 23 pts, 4 asts, 6.5 rebs)

                  M. Story: 10 pts (4/5 FG, 1/1 3pt, 1/1 FT)
                  J. Burris: 10 pts (4/7 FG, 2/2 FT)
                  K. Panzer: 16 pts (8/17 FG) , 3 rebs, 4 asts

                  Badgers: 21/35 FG (60%) -- 6/13 3pt (46%) -- 11 assists -- 5 TO's -- 16 rebs -- 18 PIP

                  Nevada: 19/39 (48%) -- 1/5 3pt (20%) -- 12 assists -- 3 TOs -- 15 rebs --20 PIP

played another game: ULR @ Alabama A&M (me)

struggled in the first half. Hit just 11/34 shots, 4/15 from deep. Had only 11 rebounds and only 8 points in the paint. ULR hit 20/32 shots (1/7 3pt), but they had 23 rebounds and 30 points in the paint. They led 44-29 at halftime.

                    For them M. Thornton had 10 points, 5 rebounds (3/6 FG). A. Mendoza: 13 points (5/10 FG, 1/3 3pt, 2/3 FT)

We shot a lot better in the second half. We did still trail by 19, but cut it to 76-71 with a couple minutes left. Couldn't hit anything really after that with the exception of 2 shots, and lost 81-76.

                    ULR

                    S. Bozeman: 18 points, 4 rebs, 7 asts (7/18 FG, 2/10 3pt, 2/3 FT)
                    A. Mendoza: 17 pts, 2 rebs (6/15 FG, 1/3 3pt, 4/6 FT)
                    M. Thornton: 19 pts, 8 rebs (9/10 FG, 1/1 FT)
                    G. Leeper: 12 pts, 9 rebs (5/7 FG)
                    B. Bails: 11 pts, 9 rebs (5/6 FG, 1/2 FT)

                    Bama A&M

                    J. Long: 13 pts, 4 asts (4/11 FG, 3/9 3pt, 2/2 FT)
                    C. Hester: 11 pts, 5 rebs (4/11 FG, 3/6 3pt)
                    R. Martin: 26 pts (11/17 FG, 4/7 3pt)

We shot 43% to finish the game (29/66), and finished 11/28 from deep (38%). We had 20 assists to 2 turnovers, had 25 rebounds, 30 points in the paint and 43 bench points (26 of them Martin).

ULR shot 55% (33/60) but just 21% from 3 (3/14). They hit 12/18 from FT line (68%). they had 16 assists but 8 turnovers. 40 rebounds, 50 points in the paint but just 11 bench points.

Despite the fact I trailed all 30 minutes (upped it to 15 min halves) I loved the feel of it.

I've been itching for a new game to play and I am going to pick up a used copy tomorrow after church! From this thread, the rosters sound fantasic! Thanks for all of the hard work you put into these!

One question? How does Ohio State look. They are going to be a power house this year and I saw that they didn't have a gunner player. Looking at their roster, they are more well balanced this year than last and can go 8-9 deep. Last year Turner would have been the gunner and they only used like 7 guys last year. Is Sullinger a beast in the game? They also had one of the best if not the best recruiting class in the country!

I noticed this last night as well. Some guys scoring 30+ are rated in the high 60's playing on small conference teams. I figure that's probably a result of the default schedules and the goofy sim engine. Remember that the schedules are still from the 2007-08 season and the sim engine has always been a bit wonky (16 seeds beating 1 seeds in the NCAA tourney, for example).

I agree with you though, it will probably sort it self out after a couple of seasons once the real players are gone.
Once upon a time, I had a lovely signature. Then it died. The end.

If you don't want players scoring 30 ppg, then put it on 18 simulated minutes in season 1, then after that the computer resets rotations, which is not under your control. Then put the simulated minutes at 16

Sulinger is a beast, but balanced team. He's the guy inside. His ppg will heavily weigh on his OFF rebounds in the game.

It's not a gamebreaker for me. I would rather have 40 minutes simulated and 40 minutes played games to have all stats accurately reflect 40 minute games.

I think it will go back to a normal level once the real players are gone and the generated recruits take over.
