I feel teh same way. I loaded this up on PS3 and it just doesn't feel right after playing 2k11. 2k11 controls with ch2k8 would be amazing

Re: Playing 2K11 ruined this game for me...

With so much snow in the Northeast the last two weeks I've had been on a crazy video game binge and pretty much have worn out Red Dead Redemption, 2K11 and NCAA Football 10. I don't think I've gamed so much in a two week span in 5-6 years (thanks mostly to being hooked on RDR).

I got a little burnt out of those games so I put in 2K8 last night because UConn and Cuse have a big match up tonight and I had the itch. I created a brand new playbook and maximize spacing and sure enough I was hooked pretty quickly. The CPU play is still top notch of course. Too bad all the 10-11 rosters are way out of wack.

The layup controls are the one thing I really, really miss from 2K11 but then again you don't see as many crazy finishes in the lane in college as you do in the pro game. Though it would be nice to be a little more lethal with Kemba Walker when penetrating. It is also amazing how difficult it is to get into the lane in this game compared to any other 2K game. The Cuse 2-3 zone is almost impossible to crack in terms of attacking the rim.

I think I'll start up what is probably my 15th UConn legacy in the last four years and see how long it keeps my interest. And cotdamn I miss their old uniforms that they have in 2K8 lol.

I have been gaming nba2k11 now for awhile and its unreal, but today I bought 2k8 again and now its loading up. Cant wait to play. I'm excited about the different controls/gameplay because of what one guy already said on here, college and NBA is different.

Getting close to tourney time I gotta get back into the college game. Very excited.

That was a huge win for the Cuse last week against your Huskies. Not a pretty game on either side, that's for sure.

I agree 100% about driving the lane in this game compared to other games; it is really difficult. I do like that, it adds to the strategy.

What roster file did you use and what was wrong with it?

I'm getting the itch to fire this up now that tournament time is drawing closer. I have NCAA 10, too, but I can't really get into that game anymore.

I'm having the same problem, which is a shame because I really, really want to play a college basketball game and I know it's still probably great. I just can't get into it anymore.

Exact opposite now. I fired my legacy back up last night. I thought about selling 2K11.

Yeah it looks amazing but that is where it ends for me. I hate how the players move. When standing still, not moving any control, my player drifts. I hate that. When playing "My Player" mode I feel like my player is chuncky the way he moves. I for the life of me can't get the shot stick down so I turned it off. I don't feel the franchise mode is all that deep. I'm at the point now that 2k11 has collected enough dust so it is time to get what I can for it before the price drops.

I could say Choops2k8 ruined NBA2k11 for me....
Couldn't agree more. Outside of your issues with shot stick, I feel identically. In fact, my friends and I rented 2k11 about 3 weeks ago to see if we wanted to buy it and start an Association. We couldn't get into it either.

I then suggested 2k8 which my friends had never played. So I went out and bought it (I used to have it for XBox but now I have a ps3) and we played one game and they're hooked. The best part is, the further into the legacy we get the more they love it.

This game has best cpu AI I've ever seen. The game's just more fluid. And let's not forget Bill Raftery. Commentating not as good as 2k11, but still excellent.
