Not sure if and when anyone will see this, but a question I have....

In between seasons in closed legacy, can I release players?


Ex:


I just started at SEMO and have 3 Juniors that I really don't have in my plans for the future if I stay with the Redhawks...they sit near the end of my bench and I have younger players that take the majority of the minutes...

So it would be nice if I could just ship them off rather than wait until they achieve very low levels on confidence.

You can only make cuts/redshirts during the first week of every season. During this period you'll notice a couple of additional options "release player" and "redshirt player" when you click on player's name. If you try to sim past the first day of the second week you'll get a text box on screen saying that it's the last day to make cuts and choose redshirts.

Ok...just getting back into the game again and forgot some things I'm certain I used to remember about it...

Man, with this, I really wish they would've altered this so like IRL you could send players packing prior to the next season so that you can fill their slots with Spring recruits....

Would've made things so much easier than having to play an entire year short players...


I also noticed when I was testing this that even when you cut scholarship players, it does not in fact add to the amount you can then give out afterwards once you finalize your roster....


Did I find a bug here or is this seemingly normal?

The not getting scholarships back immediately thing is definitely not a bug more like a oversight by the developers. You only get scholarships back from cuts at the beginning of the next season though if a player leaves early, transfers to another team or leaves the team then you get those scholarships back for the offseason signing period.
