WOW! ESPN CH is A LOT better than NBA 2k5!!

Didn't play last year's, but I was VERY disappointed with the way ESPN NBA 2k5 played... and feared the worse with this one.

Man, was I surprised!

This game does so much right that the NBA game didn't. It's just completely polished. Sliders work, graphics are top notch... this is what I thought the NBA game would be. Out of the box, it's just breathtaking.

Live 2005 is my choice for the NBA game, but MAN... this game is my choice for college play so far (haven't tried MM cuz I think it'll be too similar to Live).

Oh, and just so this doesn't get confused with an impression post, one thing that I love is on a fastbreak, you can actually hit the trailer for a nice layup/dunk if you set it up right. I can't recall being able to do that in ANY other basketball game... even ID2004.

Anyone else noticed this...? Fastbreaking on this game is even BETTER than ESPN NBA... and IsoMotion, while VERY similar, feels more refined. It's still a canned animation (which no one else has posted; that's what I've been wondering about, mostly) but somehow, it just feels a lot more controllable... Anyone notice the same?

yea same here, I didn't want another bball game but this game sounds really nice. I'll wait for the os review though, as these are the only reviews I trust from a site.

It's scary how this game is THAT much better than NBA. It's downright disappointing as well.

In fact, this game reminds a lot of ID2004. And I just played a game online and WOW... what a difference from Live.

Best $20 I've spent in a while...

Man I agree with you 110% I telling you guys this is the best damn BB game I played period. I haven't been around the last two days much, the reason being I got new rugs put in my apartment and I had my pc unhooked. I think this game had the best gameplay that I have played in a sports game to date. I just can't express how much I love this game, With it's gameplay and greats feautres in Legacy mode, this game is playable for a long time. Great job VC.

I've said it before somewhere in the impressions thread.. This game is everything NBA should have been, but wasn't.

I have absolutely no complaints, and am enjoying the game immensely.. Now if only I could get a Max Drive somewhere other than online...

How are the layups and dunks in comparison to the NBA game? Is it also more responsive? My main gripe with NBA 2k5 is it doesnt feel that great and everything is slow and deliberate. Is CH different?
