Help With Post-Up Moves
Just got the game, and I'm having trouble getting the post up moves to work. Half of the time the dude just goes up with some crazy hook shot, the other half I can get him to spin or fade away. I'm also having issues getting the "lean in" shot to work--when you press up and shoot from the post up position. Any help on this? Thanks in advance, happy holidays.

I'm having trouble with a few too. Especially the up-and-under. Every time, the player just does a hook shot. Only by accident will I manage to do the move. -

Re: Help With Post-Up Moves
The only post move I usually use is the up and under. There are two variations and they are very effective when you mix them up. Ill try and explain it the best I can. One way you can do it is get the ball in the post, have your back to the goal, press left + tap x then right and hit x.
The other variation would be to hit left + tap x then hit left + x. TRy them out and you will see the difference. They can also be done in different postions and in different directions, if that makes sense.Comment

Re: Help With Post-Up Moves
An important thing to keep in mind is that the up and under is sensitive to the direction your back is facing. You need to start it by tapping shoot while holding the left-stick in a direction of your player's side, and then hold down shoot while holding to either the same or different side. It's not always just a matter of pressing left or right...
The hook is pressing away from the basket while pressing shoot (not necessarily just back). I'm not exactly sure what the lean in shot you're referring to is, but I'm kind of assuming it's the one performed when you press the stick towards teh basket (not necessarily just up).Comment

To practice post moves you have to have a token defender standing at or near the paint area to back down against. To set this up, take control of a defender, which in this mode is a player on the visiting team. Pause the game, go to 'Option' -> 'Choose Side' then swap teams. Press 'black button' then 'Y' to control the PF. Or press 'black button' then 'right trigger' to control the C. Move either of those guys on the block. Then swap teams again to take control of an offensive player (player on the home team). Move that offensive player right into the post defender. And that's it. You're going to be doing a lot of swapping back and forth while practicing post moves. Good luck, and let me know if you have trouble setting this up.
