Ok, I guess I'll ignore the unity for now.

Unfortunately work was busy today so I haven't had a chance to work on the rosters today. Hopefully tomorrow will be quiet during the day and I'll get some time in with them.

ehhh- nice job so far with the freshman rankings. Those look about right from what I have read about those players. However when you get to Marquette, they should end up at least in the top 6 in the big east if not higher. They return 4 starters, 3 of them will be 4 year starters and 3 of them were all conference. McNeal is one of the top 5 players in the big east imo

I haven't done them yet but I'm sure they will end up above G'Town who is an 86 and currently the Top 5. I also haven't done Nova yet either but I'm not sure how they'll pan out because of the lack of big men. I'd imagine they'll end up above ND as well.

          ehh,

Any idea what kind of rankings you're going to give the freshmen at WVU? Just by looking at what they have returning and the class coming in, they should probably be about 4th or 5th in the Big East ranks.

All I've made so far is Ebanks and he's an 84 or 85. Kevin Jones will probably be a 78-80. I spent about two hours last night YouTubing as many Top 50 recruits as I could while the wifey watched Project Runway, hehe. I'm trying to get as much info on these kids as I can.

I got a little sidetracked doing the cellar dwellars of the Big East and started doing some of the Rivals Top 150.

I want to see what you guys think about the ratings for these players. I put together a small spreadsheet of Rivals 2007 Top 25 (the freshman in 2K8) including their default rating made by 2K and their final edited rank in crques' file. I think we can all agree that the final OS ratings are pretty damn accurate.

As you can see the Rivals Top 150 didn't mean a ton to 2K since Donte Green and Anthony Randolph were both rated below 71 overall despite being Top 13 prospects. But for the most part it's safe to say 2K underrated most of the freshman but I like the idea of having the kids prove something IRL before we make them too high in CH.

It looks like for the Top 15 for the 08-09 rosters we'd be safe making those guys 80 and up, but like I said before I don't think anyone is going to be over 85. I actually made the Top 10 already and Jrue Holiday and BJ Mullens are the highest at 84. Tyreke Evans, Scotty Hopkins, Demar Derozan are all 82's or 83's.

              Any thoughts or suggestions?

I agree with having no one over 85 to begin with. This will help stop any complaining of teams/players getting "favored". Let the players prove themselves and then their rating will change accordingly.

I think the highest player rating for freshmen should be 85 or 86. Time will tell, but I don't think there are any players that compare to Beasley, Rose, Gordon, or Mayo in this year's class. Don't get me wrong, there are some outstanding players that will make an immediate impact but not the impact that those guys made last season as freshmen.

I see Demar DeRozan making the biggest immediate impact.

BJ Mullens as well unless the physical play really gets to him. Check out some YouTube vids of him, pretty insane.

This years class is nowhere near as good as the 07 which will go down as one of the better ones in recent years

Rough draft ratings v1 for the top 20 or so in the Rivals150. The players in red are 5-stars, blue is 4-stars. If they have an OVR next to their names that means I have created them.

Most of the guards are ending up as a higher rating. The big swing factor in ratings is pretty much going to be...

                          AWR
                          Stamina
                          Hustle
                          Consistency
                          Strength

Those categories can really swing a players' overall by 2-5 points. Guys who are really skinny are def hurt in the overall ratings.

The shooting attributes will have to be adjusted after we see these kids play. Just about every perimeter player (that doesn't have a rep of being a slasher) looks very good shooting the ball in their vids online but of course they'll have varying degrees of adjusting to college ball.

sweet job with the table and rankings so far. Question for you? is their anything specific that I can do to help at this point?

                                ehh,

Just a thought here but since the 3-point line is moving back a foot next season, I think that everyone's 3-point rating should be lowered a couple of points. I know that's going to be a pain in the *ss to do but if some of us divided it up by conferences it would be a lot easier.
