It's hard to close out on them because if you give them any room at all, they will shoot and I can only play so tight on a player when I am not able to control the player.

Just out of curiosity, how do you decide the tendencies for players?
Ya understand, I do not really do coach mode so i dont know. As far as how i decide tendencies, I dont know, kind of just do it on the fly. I see a lot of people have systematic approaches and spreadsheets and equations and what not, I just rely on my knowledge of the the video game and the game itself. Mostly by looking at how the original roster was composed (Some of the original ratings were pretty outlandish, Roy Hibbert being highest rated player in the game at 92)

Its cool man, I am always open to get feedback. Say it with ya chest (Kevin Heart reference if anyone missed it LOL)

It is imposiible to redesign conferences as they are today. You will be able to get these rosters from my GT: Raiderfanbigjun
However this roster set will not be out until september at the earliest...

        Re: Raiderfan's 2011-2012 Roster Project

The way I set tendencies for my 3 pointers (the same way I do with NBA live PC for 3Pt Attempts via DBCommander) is:

Total 3 pointers attempted for the season divided by total field goals attempted for the season.

So you get _____% chance of a 3 pointer taken for every field goal. Though this usually only tends to work out when you're simming games and looking for realistic stats (So instead of Jimmer Fredette averaging 29 ppg and 75% of hits points come from 3s, it'd be more like 40-50% of his shots come from 3s). I'm not quite sure how the AI behavior is programmed when for taking 3s in a live match.

              2 things for raiderfan

              1. thank you so much for doing this, it is awesome that so many years on people are still playing this game cause of folks like you, so a huge thank you for doing what you do.

              2. did the amount of returnees this year (im assuming that there was a higher number than normal) make doing 11-12 any easier, and also what is your system for augmenting the abilities and returnees vs. incomings?

2.Well it is easier this year, only because I do have a good base to start from. Returnees vs. Signess: I do like this basically, recruits are rated on potential and preseason rankings, returness are based on previous years stats. There is always going to be breakout Sophmores so those have to be updated throughout the season. Freshmen ratings get bumped and down as well as the year goes on

For Syracuse Dion Walters should be Dion Waiters, and Baye Mussa Keita should be be Baye Moussa Keita. Plus I heard Baye Moussa Keita wants to go by Baye Keita so lets see if anouncers still call him Baye Moussa Keita.

Just for anybody wondering how progress is going, its going well, if i had to put a percentage on it i would say 30-35% which I think is pretty good so far considering there are still some unsigned recruits out there. Thanks to everyone who has commented on this thread!

I do not, how much your players improve is really based on the coaches rating and those cannot be adjusted...
