2kShare file name: 2011-2012 Official Roster 1.0

PLEASE remember that while this roster is thorough and pretty dang accurate, it is only August! Season doesn't start for months so there is going to be lots of changes to be made, most teams did not have a 11-12 roster posted so it's gonna need a refresh but that has to come with time, I will post and update before the season starts, hopefully by then you guys have given me LOTS OF FEEDBACK :-)
ThanksComment

Re: Raiderfan's 2011-2012 Roster Project
Akron's Blake Justice was considered in the top 3 or 5 in shooting in the State of Ohio and was a four year varsity starter who scored over 2000 points at Peebles, High School. (Ohio D3) I thought his three point shooting coulda been a little big higher, and shooting off the dribble, which was one of his things.
Elon's Drew Spradlin was also a sharp shooter while at Wheelersburg High School. Spradlin is also a senior this year, rather than a junior.
I have this information, because these players are from my district where I live in southern ohio.
Great Work!Comment

Re: Raiderfan's 2011-2012 Roster Project
Here are my recommended changes for Ohio State:
Jared Sullinger
Location - Columbus, OH
Weight - 280 lbs
Left Arm Band - Blk Sleeve (he wore several different colors but black seemed most common)
Sock Length - Medium
Def Awr - Lower to 85
Shooting (Med.) - Raise to 75
Layups - Raise to 83
On Ball Def. - Lower to 72
Blocking - Lower to 68
Vertical - Lower to 70
Strength - Raise to 82
Potential - Raise to 94
Post Shot - Change to Strong
With these changes his overall stays at 90 but it represents him better, teams picked on him with pick and rolls on defense and his lack of a vertical hurts him down low sometimes.
William Buford
Height - 6'6"
Weight - 220 lbs
Off. Awr - Raise to 92
Def. Awr - Lower to 82
Shoot (Med). - Raise to 84
Ball Handling - Lower to 79
Dunking - Lower to 77
Shot in Traffic - Raise to 83
Potential - Raise to 81
His overall is still at 85, but his strength is his jumper. He falls asleep at times on D.
Aaron Craft
Location - Bowling Green, Ohio (closest to Findlay)
Weight - 190 lbs
Def. Awr - Raise to 87
Shooting (Med.) - Raise to 73
Ball Handling - Lower to 92
On Ball Def. - Raise to 87
Vertical - Lower to 72
Quickness - Raise to 86
Hustle - Raise to 95
Standing Dunk - Lower to 0
Potential - Lower to 80
His overall is now 83, which seems high but a lot of people are raving about him. He's an 83 but he won't score like one, its his ability to play D and facilitate the offense.
Shannon Scott
Change # to 3
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 180 lbs
Remove Tattoos
Add Short Sleeve T-Shirt
Shooting (3Pt) - Lowered to 67
Passing - Raised to 81
Off Rebounding - Lowered to 55
Def Rebounding - Lower to 60
Speed - Raise to 92
Strength - Lowered to 45
Quickness - Raised to 91
Potential - Raised to 87
Overall is at 74, he's quick but not real strong with a decent enough jumper to make him dangerous.
Amir Williams
Change # to 23
Height - 6'11"
Left Arm Band - Blk Sleeve
Dunking - Raise to 87
Speed - Raise to 80
Durability - Lower to 70
Strenght - Lower to 58
Quickness - Raise to 73
Hustle - Lower to 65
Consistency - Lower to 53
His overall is down to 69 but he's still quicker than most bigs but weaker, still has good shot blocking skills and a decent mid range game. Consistency and Hustle hurt him however.
Sam Thompson
Change # to 12
Weight - 190 lbs
Dunking - Raise to 85 (was zero)
Blocking - Raise to 72
Speed - Raise to 84
Strength - Lower to 55
Quickness - Raise to 86
Hustle - Lower to 60
Consistency - Lower to 50
Standing Dunk - Raise to 79
Potential - Raise to 85
3pt Tendency - Lower to 15
Drive the Lane - Raise to 44
Overall stays at 70
Deshaun Thomas
Height - 6'7"
Weight - 225 lbs
Remove Under Shirt
Add Tattoo 12 to Left Bicep and Tattoo 10 to Right Bicep
Off Awr - Lower to 68
Shooting (Close) - Raise to 86
Shooting (Med.) - Raise to 77
Shooting (3pt) - Raise to 72
Dunking - Raise to 76 (was zero)
Passing - Raise to 64
On the Ball Def - Lower to 70
Strength - Raise to 69
Confidence - Raise to 85
Potential - Raise to 84
Now at 72 overall, he's a threat offensively and liability defensively. His lack of awareness keeps him from being a really good player at this point but the potential is there to be an elite scorer.
Trey McDonald
coming soon
J.D. Weatherspoon
coming soon
Evan Ravenel
coming soon
LaQuinton Ross
coming soon
Jordan Silbert
coming soon
Lenzelle Smith
coming soon
Hope to finish up with the Buckeyes tomorrow. Overall it looks like you did really well, I'm impressed!

Re: Raiderfan's 2011-2012 Roster Project
Just a few things I noticed looking at the Big Ten:
- Purdue is missing Travis Carroll, a 6'9 230 lb PF/C that will likely contend for a starting spot at the 5. He's a soph.
- Indiana - Verdell Jones should be rated lower and Cody Zeller rated higher. Its debatable what the overall numbers should be, but Zeller will be a more important piece this year than Verdell. Zeller's tendencies for close shots should be much higher (only 25 right now I think) Also, Victor Oladipo is #4, Austin Etherington is #13, and Christian Watford is a JR. Watford's defensive awareness should be dropped. He's a poor defender.
- Tendencies need to be modified on a few teams, primarily Wisconsin, MSU and Illinois. For Wisconsin, Jordan Taylor will be the unquestioned leader, playmaker and scorer, so his shooting tendencies need to reflect that. I ran a sim in Legacy and he only averaged about 12ppg. I bumped the tendencies up quite a bit for each type of shot and ran sim again and he averaged about 19ppg.
For MSU, shooting tendencies need to go down for Brandon Wood and Brandon Dawson. I'm guessing these were Summers and Lucas from last years roster because their tendencies were crazy high. Tendencies for Draymond Green and Keith Appling need to increase.
For Illinois, Brandon Paul and DJ Richardson's tendencies need to increase
- I agree with the previous posters recommendations on the OSU players. Pretty much spot on.
- Some of the ratings for the Michigan players need to increase, mainly Jordan Morgan. Michigan should be in the upper half of the Big Ten this year, but their ratings down't reflect that.
Outside of the Big Ten -
- Perry Jones III - Potential needs to be in the 90's. He could have been a top 5 pick this past year if he came out.
- Marquis Teague - Name is wrong. Marquis, not Marquise. Also his rating should be higher. Top 5 recruit
- Bradley Beal from Florida - Overall rating should be higher, top 5 recruit. He is a pure scorer so his tendencies need to increase as well.
- Jeremy Lamb is underrated and tendencies not high enough. Multiple people in the college bball world think he will bust out this year.
- Finally, on the roster I saved, I went through and changed the positions of several guys, especially the PFs, because too many times a team has 2 good "PF's" and 1 bad center and the CPU will start and play the center when in reality the 2 PF's would play the majority of the game. Same thing with PG's and SG's. The positions may not be accurate compared to an official roster, but they better imitate the lineups and rotations.
Overall, outstanding job! Ton of time spent on it I can tell. What's even better, when I ran those sims, for the most part the stats seemed pretty reasonable. Obviously I am a Hoosier fan and IU's record came out to something like 18-12 I think and the stats were pretty much on line with PY/expected stats except for Zeller who only averaged 4 pts and 5 reb. Stats for the other Big Ten teams and major conference teams seemed pretty reasonable as well. Thanks!!Comment
