    Coach Mode/CPUvCPU/USERvCPU(?)

Have been wanting to post these for a while.. I used a lot of the principles of JukeMan and OsuPiper sliders but I really think this is a really good set.. a couple of things I want to point out that really made a difference to me. 1) Turn OFF 5 second closely guarded. This rule has been changed in college basketball to being called only when a player is standing still. Since we can't emulate that rule change in the game, I turned it off and really helped with the dribble drive effectiveness because often times guys would begin to make their move the basket, only to pass the ball because of the AI's awareness to the 5 second rule. 2) Before each game, go into each teams coach's settings, under Double/Pressure and set each player Double to "never" and each players pressure setting to "tight". From what I have seen, this vastly improves dribble drive and also I have seen some really cool animations as far as defenders actually getting body contact on drives and offensive players either getting stopped or getting to the basket. I was seeing a lot of doubles on players and it was really throwing the game off because it was not allowing for one on one post play. Another thing with the tight pressure set to "tight", off ball defenders are staying closer to their man, allowing for more space and opportunity to the basket without the whole defense crashing into the paint with zero regards to shooters. Try these out and let me know what you think.

Double/Pressure (For all User & CPU players)
    Pressure set to "Tight"
    Double Team set "Never"
Thanks for this. I would never have thought to do #1, and I have basically worked around #2.

    So two questions:
    - Have you tried tight defense together with my coach tendency settings (i.e., defensive pressure setting)?
    - Have you tried this particular setup in CPUvCPU mode including the "tight" D pressure?

I have done it but only for my own team. I was basically trying to keep my weak side and off ball defenders closer to guarding their own man.

I have started testing your change to double-team and pressure in-game. Initially, I like the look and feel. Interestingly, I matched Wisconsin (90 OVR) and Purdue (82 OVR), with Wisconsin at home. Wisconsin ran a 2-3 matchup zone while Purdue was straight man.

Using only those changes to my sliders, I saw no good looks for 3pFGs against man D but several against the zone. I dropped Help Recovery to 0 (I did not realize until posting this that you also have this set to 0), and got more looks from 3 on both sides. I liked the results from Help Rec = 0, but it game. There is a lot of post action with this set, so I will have to boost my 3pFG and Drive tendencies (yours are higher than mine already). The total FGAs were very good, so I do not want to boost these other tendencies too much. Assist numbers dropped due to the lack of shots outside the paint.

FG% dropped with these changes. I did note more contested shots overall, which is consistent with your findings in the original post.

Obviously, my base set is different than yours, so I am still not to a "fine-tuning" stage, but I will post other observations as I continue.

Thanks again for posting your findings.

          One other note from above:

Purdue dominated Wisconsin by 20 in that game. I will replay the game with the same settings to see if this was an aberration, but I did not feel this was indicative of the matchup. My fear is that this is a result of the Zone v Man defensive matchup paired with the slider changes. I hope this is not the case because it would eliminate zone defense as a viable gameplay option (I have already had to eliminate some zone options in my legacy just for balance).
