It seems like one of the post-play improvements was to have more bankshots going in. Anyone else notice this? It also seems like you can get a charge without hanging on to the left trigger now.

        Re: patch available for 360

So what improvements, if any, were made to the actual gameplay? EA mentioned "post-play" tweaks, but has anyone actually confirmed what that means? Or are we just guessing on what we think got changed?

I was enjoying the hell out of this game before the patch, I would just like to know what, specifically, the patch did other than authentic schedules. Any insight would be appreciated!

loaded the game up and was prompted for the update. I can edit the classic teams so Im assuming this is the patch. And when starting a dynasty it prompts to use authentic schedules....question though, I can't edit t-shirts on the classic players. Is this normal for classic teams.....

I heard someone else say they could not edit the T's also.

the full court presses have been tweaked to where your players no longer trap just for the sake of trapping. They trap if the opportunity is there and if not, they back off and attempt to slow down the offense forcing them into a short shot clock.

Post play still seems the same to me with the exception that I've seen a couple of bank shots and thats it. What other changes were made I haven't noticed. The only other thing I will mention, and this may be because I have the Charge/Block slider maxed now, is that not all flops by the post defender are either charges or no calls. They now get called for blocking so that may be because of the patch or because of me maxing the slider.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

That is because of your slider. I am still getting called for charges out of the rear-end. 80% of them should be blocking calls instead.

I haven't seen any significant fixes in post play yet.

Thanks countryboy. I've played a few games now post patch and I have noticed that they're a lot less "trap happy". As far as post play, I'm still trying to learn all the post moves so I don't know if I would notice any small improvements anyway. That's been the hardest thing about this game; getting used to the new controls. Coming from CHoops, I was shooting 3/4 court airballs when I was trying to pass to an outlet guy until I got comfortable with the new controls. Now I can't stop playing!!

Another question: Has anyone seen any jumpballs being called? I've seen the stat overlay near the end of a game showing team fouls and who has the possession arrow. I thought that was kind of cool until I realized I have never ever seen a jump ball called! Is it just me, or is there some slider adjustments that can fix this? thanks

I haven't seen any jumpballs either. Given that guys don't dive for loose balls and that everytime a player gets trapped the ball is knocked free, I am guessing they aren't in the game.

Wow. A patch a week after you release the game? Good job EA! Glad you are so happy with the Sh it game you released! Everyone that says this game is even mediocre is in DENIAL and I don't wanna hear about the graphics. Give me a realistic simulation. Not a game where five games into my dynasty EVERYONE in the nation has lost a game. Is that realistic?

I find it pretty amusing that when it comes to a game you clearly despise, half of your total posts are in the NCAA BASKETBALL FORUM going on and on about the same thing in each one! So I have to assume that if you're not trolling the EA forums, you really have nothing constructive to add to these boards?

I have not heard one reasonable person state that this game is completely sim or not without it's faults. But I enjoy it for what it is, a fun basketball game, rather than viewing it through my 2k shades for what it's not.

I am in the middle of December and I still have teams undefeated this season. Myself(UofL), UNC, Villanova, Dayton, Michigan, UCLA are ones that come to mind. There are others, I just don't remember who all of them are.

Yeah a patch a week after release makes you question whether the game was really ready, but it doesn't take long to upload the patch. I do agree to some extent that the game is fundamentally flawed with rebounds and intercepted passes, but it's a good game overall. The patch was cool to let us name the classic teams though. I'm also wondering if the post game was really adjusted by this patch. I find the post game to be kind of weird. Seems like a hook shot is automatic in this game even with my short range slider moved to 15 notches from the left. Maybe upcoming patches will solve this.
