We aren't sure that is true. No one said we wouldn't be able to play multi-player seasons online.

Meh. I just have a gut feeling that this is true.

I'm 100% positive Jab Step has seen this thread, so either..
1) He can't talk about the dynasty information yet, whether the multi-player dynasty mode is in or not.
2) It's not in the game, so he doesn't want to hurt the marketing by announcing this feature isn't in 3 weeks prior to release.

The main issue for me is not being able to play any game from any side's schedule. I mean this was always in the earlier versions of March Madness, so how after these few years of next gen can it still not be implemented.

This feature was requested way back, it is surely not a big implementation. As posters have said we were told there was not enough time to incorporate it, if true, then what is the problem this year?

All I want is customisation options - to be able to play any game off the schedule, that's all. Just doesn't make sense to me, especially following all of the requests in the wish list thread.

You know this series is truly one of the most dissapointing EA sports games to date.

I know they don't give a damn about what we say or how we feel. They'll still release the game and they'll still price it at $60 and yet it will be bare bones just like every other year.

Forget the fact that they will probably have rosters with players from 2007-2008 season on it. They will half azzzz rate the players like always and still expect people to support this series.

I mean how freakin hard can it be to open up the schedules were we can play any game we'd like. NCAA Football has been doing this for years.

There are so many great college matchups during the season and yet EA limits you to one damn schedule. It's really pathetic and luckily i know this game sale for cheap within 1-2 months after release because most people trade it in very early.

This series has always given a half azzz effort. I think the only thing they truly spend ample time on is mascots and crowd noise. There is always an excuse about importing draft classes, schedules and rosters. It always we don't have time or we ran out of time.

It's like they know the game won't sale very well so they just half azzz it all year making sure not to do too much because they don't want to use up too much man power and take away from their other basketball title.

It amazes me how they come on to the boards and show so much enthusiasm for things like sneakers, socks and headbands. They even ask guys if the clock on Maryland's court needs corrected and jump right on it.

Yet something like draft classes and open schedules get by passed every year. I think of all years this would have been a good oppurtunity for them to step up and not hold back on features.

Now they will risk losing sales once people find out about this dumb move or decision made yet again.

I gave credit to the devs for the innovation of two announce teams. We'll see how that plays out.

However, they should be taken to task on this issue because I know for a fact that people have been asking for multiplayer dynasties on this site since at least 2004!

That's ridiculous.

The funny thing about this whole thing is, they are comparing it to a game that cam out in 1997. Which, by the was, was a beast. And they went downhill from there.

I do not see why they cannot do a correct dynasty and a multiplayer dynasty, much less add online to that.

How long did I have to NOT buy madden, becuase NCAA was leaps and bounds better than it every year, until this year. How much longer do I have to play CH 2K8 by myself, because online is not available for it. However, that is probably one of the best sports games I own. NCAA Football has gotten worse, becuase of the Madden fanboy crew.

My thoughts, they do not want to spend more money in servers?

But, you should be thinking to all of yourselves this question:

of all of the sports games that EA releases, how many of them are NOT better than NCAA Basketball?

And a bonus question:

Why couldn't they just hired (bought) the people who made CH 2K8 and hired them to make a great college basketball game?

Just imagine if EA had not pushed the price of the licensing for NCAA rights, how much better of a college basketball game we would have now?

I wish that a big company would just buy 2K Sports and put money behind them so we could have better sports games. Sigh...

I want to be positive for a moment so people dont think I am being completely negative. I think the gameplay looks awesome, and I am more then impressed with the presentation. So I give them mad props on that, but until I hear some confirmation on dynasty I cant be positive about a baby step. Last year I listened to the BS about not having enough time to put in multiplayer dynasty. So what is the reason for not adding it this year (assuming that multiplayer and online is not on this years since there has been no confirmation). Honestly if they came up here and said "hey we screwed up and we are gonna push the game back to january to add multiplayer dynasty to are already improved (hopefully) dynasty" I would be more then ok with this. I still have my fingers crossed but I cant help but be pessimistic about EA BBall games. They have a track record for dissapointing me. But like noogman25 said its sad that this game is being compared to old games. I really really want a reason to retire choops 2k8. I hope this game gives me one.

Don't bash EA yet. Im still not sure this isn't in. I mean every person put this on their dynasty wishlist. How could they have ignored this. This person has only 1 post and won't answer our questions of his source. So I'm not buyin it yet. I will wait until a Dev tells us it is in or out.

I will be severely dissapointed if its not in.

There's no doubt in my mind that the devs have read our questions. One of them could EASILY step right in and provide an answer with a simple yay or nay.

However, I remember one of the devs in another forum talking about keeping the pre-release spin "positive." Thus, they are NOT going to be quick to come in and admit that multiplayer dynasties are not in the game. They would be bashed, rightfully so if I might add, and the pre-release spin would not be positive.

I understand that you want legitimate confirmation from a dev. However, if you read between the lines the answer is staring you/us in the face.

There's some good that has come out of the interaction with various EA devs. However, to be truthful I think that a lot of spinning has been taking place on their part. But I suppose that's another convo for another time and place.

dont you think that if it were in the game, something that everyone has been asking for, you would want to highlight that, and make it your strongest selling point? i think its safe to assume its not in the game. just my two cents

I see where everyone's coming from with the multi-player dynasty, but it really isn't a game killer from my perspective on a count that I just play as my school (Syracuse) anyway. I am a little disappointed with the lack of playing any game, if it's indeed true (I'll wait on an official word on it) because of the tournament, but all in all for me really as long as they improved the sim stats and recruiting, I'll be happy with dynasty. That's not to say there shouldn't be a mulit-player dynasty, considering how many people wanted it, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But at least for me, as long as the gameplay and the basics of single player dynasty are fine, I'll be happy.

I hate to agree with you, because I want to like this game so bad, but I think you're right. I'd give it 99% chance it's not in the game, 1 % - it is. That 1% is until we hear about dynasty mode from the blog.

The silence about this game is deafening. I have the feeling other than the presentation nothing has really been added. No info on dynasty three and a half weeks before release. And Jab Step seems to have joined the witness protection program. No blog, no posting sim stats as he said he would over a week ago.

Reminds me of NCAA baseball 2007. Add one feature and pretend it is new.

Other than MLB the show all the next gen sports games have been fairly pathetic, and I don't even like baseball.
