Live had a whole bunch of problems with the CPU offense, not just this, so it's hard to guage.

How are you guys getting the CPU to use the custom playbook. It's been a long day for me, so maybe I am missing something? Thanks.

Are you making the changes in the GAMEPLAN right before you select TIP OFF? If that is where it is at I can't figure out how to get into the opponents GAMEPLAN selections when I am in a legacy. I may be missing something though I haven't had the game long.

I am able to switch over to control the opponent once the game starts in legacy, but the playbook is their default by that point and I don't think custom is an option in their team management window.

Yup, just confirmed it too, you can't change the CPU playbook in legacy mode. Mother eff, a mod might as well lock this. :

Damn. That's not what I wanted to hear. Dammit. This could have made a world of difference.

Thanks for your posts on this game ehh.

It sounds way too frustrating. I am glad I passed on it. I appreciate all the impressions + putting this stuff out there.

Well I just wanted to let you know what you were attempting to do is the best way to get the CPU to play different and also rely on star players.

That option you speak of unfortunately though only works in NBA Live and it does a great job of forcing the CPU to mix it up their playcalling.

Now, this brings me the part of the game that frustrates me about EA.

They refused to allow multi player dynasty or the ability to play any game on the calender schedule. They don't allow you to tweak the playbooks.

Now keep in mind both of those options are available in NCAA Football, Madden and NBA Live. That is how you enhance the CPU styles of play all of those sports titles but after years in NCAA Basketball/March Madness they (EA) still don't allow that type of flexibility in their College Basketball game........

For years Ehh i've been voicing my concerns with EA in regards to opening up the scheduling/Dynasty Mode to allow the USER to adjust playbooks which would make the game play better overall.

But once again they ommitted these things and I know some people can live with it. But i'm huge fan of team(s)/Player(s) style of play and this is just inexcusable by EA that they don't allow the USER to be more hands on within Dynasty Mode.

That is the biggest reason why I enjoy NCAA Football because of the freedom to edit and tweak every single schools playbook and style of play if you DESIRE.

Dynamic updates are supposed to edit playbooks, so there is hope for improvement through dynamic updates.

You guys need to give authenics sliders a chance.
I played two games with his sliders last night and the cpu shot 22 3's vs me and 20 3's.
For some reason his set really seems to open up the cpu gameplay, they are now not shooting the 10 footer everytime they will kick it out for the open 3's.

Kick it out from where? When the CPU gets the ball in the post they shoot. I have seen one pass out since I got the game a week ago. Your saying a guy that gets the ball in a post position will kick it out within the offense instead of quickly turning and shooting? I'd love to see some uploaded highlights if you have any, I will try his sliders tonight.

The more I play the more oddities I see. Didn't play Live but I read the complaints and thought without DNA that these things wouldn't happen. A CPU guy on Missouri who is listed as a Complete Post PF is at the top of the key and in essence takes a dribble handoff from one of the guards with his back to the basket and quickly shoots a 20 ft fadeaway, almost made me puke. This was on All American. At times guys just chuck shots, not only in the post.

The same game I had all of the CPU shooting sliders at 10 and one of the Missouri guards hit 5 straight 3's in the first 5 minutes. It was like the game was programmed or determined from the start, might not be fair to say but it was just odd. Odd would describe alot of what I am seeing.

Those are the sliders I have been using on AC. I do have games where the computer will shoot a lot of threes KSt shot 28 in a PLAY NOW game. I have been playing the first game of a legacy with a few different teams and have been getting slightly better numbers , but the sample size is very small. The average was 11.5 attempts. in real life the average should be around 18. The most troubling thing though is that the ball is rarely if ever kicked out of the post, most of the threes I see are just guys jacking them up, whether they are open or not.

Try on AC, slider adjustments of cpu: 0 on hands for both perimeter and post, 100 on user d strength post, and lower close shot ai 40-45. I still see it but not as dramatic. Helps but not solves
