I'll try that out today Vechi, getting pretty frustrated with this esp since adjusting the CPU playbook helps so much. Not being able to use it in dynasty mode is such a kick in the nuts.

The average was 11.5 attempts. in real life the average should be around 18. The most troubling thing though is that the ball is rarely if ever kicked out of the post, most of the threes I see are just guys jacking them up, whether they are open or not.
The number of 3PA is definitely effected by the playbooks, when I was editing the CPU's playbook I could get any team to shoot a ton of threes.

        ehh,
doesn't fix it for sure but a little better. I like the 0 for hands because you will see some turnovers but your solution of adjusting plays is the answer. If we could get this info to a developer and incorporate fixes to the ai playbook, would be great

If the devs would just do it with the dynamic updates, that would solve this problem.

Isn't jab step the NCAA guy on here? If I can find out who the contact for NCAA 10 is I will PM them and show them this thread.

That won't solve it unfortunately, the issue of players not passing out of the post is a problem with the engine, it's in Live as well.

I mean DU could help with the playbooks but that's a major overhaul and I don't see EA doing something like that with dynamic updates.

              ehh,
Live is better post play than ncaa don't you think? I just played some live over the weekend and it has a new update and it ran pretty good. Post play was a lot more balanced than here

Live has a new update? Is that the 2nd patch? Or are you talking about a roster update?

I haven't played Live in a while, I'll check it out tonight. Does the CPU ever pass out of the post now?

Live does a little less of the "catch on the block and shoot" thing that NCAA does, there are more post moves when they catch the ball inside in Live.

EDIT: I just checked the Live forum and I don't think Patch 2 has even been submitted to Sony/MS yet according to the devs.

No it was a roster or dna update. I played a few games on the dynamic season and the gameplay was pretty good

While I didn't play Live outside of the demo, I didn't realize the issue was persistent in that game as well. With a shorter shot clock, maybe not as noticeable.

Will try your suggestions Vechi, disappointed though to say the least. This may slip down the list or completely off due to this issue.

I think that a major issue is that you can't get physical in the post. All you can do defensively is stand close and either try to take charge or contest the shot with a block. It would be nice if you could hit the r stick and pust on them down low
