Got my first freeze...and the sound drops out all the time now.



It's kind of stunning that EA have just walked away from this game and have completely washed their hands of it. Blackflash saying "we have no plans to release a patch" when it's clearly got issues.

Crap happens I guess...but in this era of the internet, to not release a mandatory patch for obvious issues is poor form. Nice work winning back public support and then just killing it EA

I personally have not had a freeze but it just saddens me how EA is handling this well-known issue. Just when you think they are turning the corner then BAM this happens. I wonder if CHoops was still around would EA then address the issue????

First freeze here, finally!
Got it on edit menu, not gameplay. Restarted console and from dashboard (Ps3) ive noticed the rosters file totally corrupted, must delete it. I never seen something like this before, is weird.
The freezing issue is definitely related to roster file imho. Strange things happens when u save it.

OmegaKid, I think you're right. If we left the rosters at default settings there probably wouldn't be any freezing. But most people, including me, need names. This NEEDS to be addressed in a patch. It's terrible that EA won't do something about it.

Just experienced my first freeze after buying the game when it came out. I was in my second year of dynasty when the game froze after I exited the game when it was over. I restarted my dynasty and after the first game it happened again and now occurs after any game in dynasty. I will most likely delete all game data and have it reinstall and see if that helps. IT would be nice to see this get fixed as this game has really grown on me.

Just an update to my earlier post, but I deleted the game data file and restarted the game. It took a couple minutes to reload the file but I've been able to finish a game and have no problems. I guess I'll just have to delete the game data every so often.

Try first to disable autosave, delete your roster file (copy it on pendrive, eventually) and not save it anymore on hd, basically leave all rosters on default and see if u get freezes.

I've had two freezes during my dynasty. First was UNC vs Michigan State and my second was UNC vs Virginia Tech. Both occurred during CBS telecasts and it was during a transition when the CBS logo comes across the screen.

Just an update to my earlier post, but I deleted the game data file and restarted the game. It took a couple minutes to reload the file but I've been able to finish a game and have no problems. I guess I'll just have to delete the game data every so often.

That's what I have been doing about 5-6 games or so because my friend's was freezing every fifth game like clockwork. It has solved the problem for both of us. Yes, it's a pain, but I really enjoy the game so I can live with it.

how exactly do you delete this game data while keeping your dynasty? do you just save it to a memory card or something?

Did you update? If so, which dynamic update are you using? N/A
What teams were you using at the time of the freeze? At timeouts, deadballs, and going into the 2nd half
Did you call a timeout? Sometimes
Autosubs on/off? Off
If not during gameplay, which screen were you on when the game froze?
Any other information you can think of that would be relevant to helping find the source.

I had about 4 freezes over the course of the season in dynasty. and ive had 3 while playing kentucky in the elite 8 of the tournament. it sucks b/c i cant sim and beat them but cant play without the game freezing. its ridiculous that they aren't patching this.

It seems once you get the first one, they start flowing.

My dynasty is basically stuck as I keep getting freezes now that I am over ten games into it. Maybe the freezes only come once you're a few games in as I had no probs at the beginning?

Anyway, nice work EA releasing a bugged product and walking away. Classy.

It seems once you get the first one, they start flowing.

My dynasty is basically stuck as I keep getting freezes now that I am over ten games into it. Maybe the freezes only come once you're a few games in as I had no probs at the beginning?

It's the very top file under the game icon. When you open it there should be only one NCAA Basketball 10 file. Just delete that file and everything should be just fine. No need to delete the dynasty. (PS3)

i have a 360...but presumably i could just go to my memory and delete the file that says NCAA BASKETBALL 10 PROFILE right?

I haven't read all of the posts in this thread.. but from what my man C_V said, they aren't patching this? If that's the case, then that truly is quite sad. I don't care what your excuse is. I don't own the game, and almost made the mistake of giving them my money... but if they don't fix this, then they (EA) will not be getting my money next year either.
