So this game still freezes randomly on 360?

They never patched that out after all these years? I just bought it for 20 bucks.

It had been 5 years since the last message about freezing. Did they ever patch this out? Or fix it?

Is there anything I can do or will I receive a game tomorrow in the mail that is going to freeze on me all the time?

I actually plan on simming a lot of it through. Like 80% of it will be simmed I think.

You would think it would of gotten fixed sometime in the last 9 years? Right? lol

I want to get Assembly Hall into the #1 spot on toughest places to play for sure! I'm excited, but I don't want to get frozen whenever I decide to play an important game ya know?

Some people freeze often, some not at all? Is it disc by disc? Surely not.... or just luck?

The game randomly freezes during a timeout. It doesn’t happen every game but it happened enough for me to stop playing when it first came out, which is a shame because it’s a good game of college basketball.

No it was never fixed.

If I remember correctly, I’m getting old, shortly after the game was released the development team was disbanded

I'm getting this game today finally... in the mail.

I'm looking forward to messing around with it. I have 09, but I'm hoping the rankings and sim logic are better.

09 felt wonky in Dynasty. I like it, but it just feels weird.

I guess better late than never so I'll add my findings.If you use your unlocks in "school pride" it will start causing your games to freeze.Thats why it doesn't happen in any other mode like tourney or play now as those modes don't have school pride unlocks.They exist only in dynasty so only freezing they cause will be exclusively in dynasty.That symptom threw me..lol..As to the poster that said he only was able to get like 2 games into dynasty,,before the freezes started,threw me also..I was able to go 20 games in with no issue..Then I stumbled upon school prede and had 4 unlocks I was unaware I had as I play with no sound so I had no idea I had emails telling me I had said "unlocks"..Anyway 20 games in I saw them,used them and not only did scool pride destroy the games "logic" as far as difficulty settings,it started freezing right away..I saw the poster mention only getting 2 games in before the freezes started and I wondered how as I had many games in and and was in second season and had 4 unlocks so how was he unlocking school pride after only 2 games in? So I go investigate,start a new dynasty to see how soon you get any unlocks..Well,to my surprise you get one after winning your 1st home game!..Geez,all fit at that point! I assumed I unlocked all levels of practice gym at once was why,but that's not required.It starts the freezing as soon as you unlock the first level..If anyone sees this and go test yours if freezing is a big issue and let me know.

As for unlocks in other areas like defense etc I have no idea if they cause freezing too and don't care to find out because if you start screwing with the ratings it ruins the games balance..One level becomes 20 point wins with no effort and the next level up seems impossible and you start screwing with the sliders to fix issues created by the school pride stupidity.Boost everyones shooting and 3's by 10 rating points and not screw up the game? How,after 10 rating point jumps in % your centers can raining 3's..Sliders will never regain the balance..With no unlocks my games and averages are very realistic but after unlocking scool pride Im shooting 80% from the floor and 3's from anybody I shoot with..I literally came across midcourt and launched and rarely missed with all 4 unlocks..It very much ruined my game.I only saw this immediately because I was 20 games in and thought it was pretty realistic..So the unlocks immediately ruined my gameplay and before I could revert back and relock "pride" it started freezing every game..Always keep 2 saves before doing anything..Old trick,lol

Oh,and as to all the folks curious about the Live 10 patch fixing this issue or as to anyone curious as to why Live 10 has this engine yet no freezing issue?..Yea,Live has no schools to take pride in! lol..

Just tested this theory. Reloaded my dynasty save before making any school pride upgrades played my 2nd game of the season and went fine. Got to my 3rd game @ Clemson, where I froze the 1st time, and it froze during my first timeout like before. I'll guess I'll try simming past that game to see if I have any luck.

Very disappointing as I just bought this game after being a hardcore 2K8 guy for the last 12 years and I was really enjoying it.

EDIT: Found the work around. Do not let it go to the timeout menu. I hit start and handle my subs that way and then resume game. I also do not hurry through any cut scenes. I let them all play out. Made it through the game that froze 1st time out each time and 3 games beyond so far.

EDIT2: Played 8 games since and had it freeze twice before I had time to hit start as the teams went to timeout. Both times the opponent called a timeout. So frustrating. Not sure I've ever seen a console game crash this much since the ATARI or NES.
