i would take Dan Patrick's analysis over yours anyday.
Detroit and Indiana have been boring to watch but its also frustrating when the Suns leave people open and let players take rebounds over them all game long. it all comes to a balance some way or another. Another point is that Joe Johnson is out and he always guards the best guard on the team...even if its someone small and quick like AI.Comment

Originally posted by RahKhemIt's funny how everybody said that either Detroit or Indiana would have had no shot against the Lakers because their offenses were so horrible, but we all know how that turned out. Erod, c'mon man, you may not like the defensive struggles that go on out here in the East, but don't hate so blatantly like that.
I think people are just jealous that a team like Detroit and Indiana and SA can win with defense. I didnt hear anyone calling LA's offense garbage after Detroit held them 15 points under their season average in the finals. How did Detroit's offense look then. They looked like Phoenix they had so many fastbreak points. I lost count. I guess that doesnt count for anything to clowns like Dan Patrick who is still pissed they are the best.
Defense wins championships just like in any other sport. In the Bulls hayday they were the best defensive team in the league. Jordan could score at will so no one complained about their offense. They didnt have prolonged scoring droughts because of him. The Pistons don't have 1 unreal star so this is how they have to win. Sometimes its ugly but they got the hardware to prove its legit. If people dont like it then have someone who is suppost to be better than them beat them. I am still waiting.Comment

Originally posted by nkhera1Yeah the game in which they "destroyed" Phoenix was when Nash was out. Thats the equivalent of having Ben Wallace out for the Pistons. I love it how everytime a team loses their fans always say we gave away a game. I think the Suns gave away the first game they lost and every other game that they lost this year. If they tried their hardest every day they would have gone 82-0. Besides the Suns were able to shoot 46% in the second game which is about what their average is so I think that Phoenix is a better team than they are given credit for.
The Nash game would have been a whitewash regardless. That was the best the Piston offense played all year. Regardless they were up 30 all game(Darko and the boys lost it in mopup time) so with Nash maybe its shaved down to 15. Give the Pistons some credit, the rings aren't fake.Comment

Originally posted by jakobsladMiami's defense is not all that bad. I expect your team to take care of the Pacers next game but you guys will have your hands full with Miami. Wade will probably end up being guarded by Prince(a matchup that could go either way on any given night) so the X factor in all this is how effective Shaq can be. If he's not at least 75-80% by the time that series starts I'd expect your Pistons to win in no more than 5-6. Even if he is healthy, I'd still see the Heat on the short end of the stick at the end of the series. I'm rooting for them but Detroit is a great basketball "team". That's why I'd say they have the advantage despite some of their shortcomings off the bench.Comment

Originally posted by posterWhat else do you call losing a ten point lead that was maintained for 3 quarters. The Pistons lost 3 games(I think) all year when leading after 3. They lost to Miami and Phoenix the same way, blowing leads when they controlled the game for 3 quarters. Its obvious we are looking at it from both sides of the fence here. I never said they were not a good team. I responded to the pathatic original post saying Phoenix or Dallas would blow Det or Indy out of the gym. You know it was laughable, so laugh.

The best offense the Pistons played all year and they shot 38%. Thats not a good sign besides the suns had just had their first losing streak of more than 3 games which happened right when steve nash was out. Thats not a coincedence.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.Comment
