FUNNEST GAME I'VE PLAYED SO FAR

I just finished quite possible my funnest game of video basketball ever(I was playing 2k3). I was the Celtics, against the Sixers. (My record was 7-0). They were ahead for the whole game until about the 4th quarter, and Pierce wasn't hitting anything...he had 2 points in the 1st quarter, and about 11 at the end of the third. Then, it's like the light switch turned on. He started hitting everything...drives to the whole, turn around j's with the D in his face, pull-up jumpers, tip-ins, hook shot down low...everything. He ended up scoring 17 in the final quarter, including my final 6 points, which put me up by 3. The sixers tried to recover, but ended up bricking a three at the buzzer...game over, Celtics advance to 8-0! The atmosphere around this game was amazing, though. I was just drawn into the whole game, every little detail. My palms starting sweating in about the 4th quarter as the game became more intense. It was just amazing...what are some of your best games (2k3, Live, Inside Drive, or Shootout)?

He said funnest, not funniest. Have you had any games that had you totally into the gameplay, close scoring, and clutch shooting to win or loose? I think he had one of those type of games.

I had an amazing play when i was playing Live 2001 with my friend years ago.(I know it's a crappy game but this play really impressed me) He was a newbie of b-ball game, he didn't get used to the controller. When he was pushing the ball up court (Lakers), he wanted to pass it but unfortunately he pressed the shoot button. That was a full court 3....I was like "Oops you did it again" Of course he didn't make it but when i (Spurs) was just about to jump for the rebound, suddenly Kobe took off for the pull back slam. I was shocked and was like

The funnest game I've had so far was on Drive 03...I had just created Yao Ming and wanted to play with the Rockets and I played the Nets. The game went back and forth the whole time into the 4th quarter. With about 5 seconds left I hit a shot to me up by 2: 85-83. They passed the ball to Kittle and he was dribbling to half court and by the time he got right in front of the half court line there was like 3 seconds left and he shot from right after the halfcourt line and he makes it! They went up 86-85. There was .8 seconds left on the clock or something like that and I called time out. I threw it in from half court to Maurice Taylor I believe and shot but missed...and they won.

Another game was me (Rockets) vs the Nuggets and I was up by 15 in the 4th quarter. They went on a huge run and tied it up and we eventually went into double overtime where I won by 5 points...it's a very fun game.

I had a really great game on ID2003 the other day. I was playing the Rockets vs. the Trailblazers. Really tight game all the way through, neither team was able to get ahead by more than five points at any time. Rasheed Wallace was simply going crazy in the game. No matter what I tried on defense, the only that kept him from hitting shots was when he went to bench for a breather. Finally, it came down the last 30 seconds with the Blazers taking a one point lead. They tightened up on defense and with the shot clock running down, Yao Ming stepped out of the high post and nailed a clutch fadeaway with six seconds left (this was the first really good offensive game he'd had in my season. Finished with 15 points, I think). Blazers call timeout, inbound the ball, and I'm trying as hard as can to stick with Rasheed but he gets free on a pick, jumps in the air and catches a pass right in front of the basket and in mid-air tries to finger roll it in over the defense. I figure I'm deadmeat but the ball rolls off the back of the iron! Another Blazer grabs the offensive rebound but he's too late to put it back up and time expires. Final score: 106-105, Rockets.

THE MOST FUN game I've ever played so far...

it's not the funnest -- that's not a word. Just thought I help you out since no one else did.

Oh and the most fun I had on ID2003 was a Laker vs. Hornets game. I was the Lakers and pretty much gettin my butt handed to me. However, late in the 3rd I started chipping away at a 20 point deficit and finally pushed it to a tie game late in the 4th quarter.

With 1 minute to go, I hit a huge three with Horry to shorten the deficit to one. I then stole the ball but missed the shot. The Hornets hit a couple of free throws,my players couldnt come through. To make thins worse, O'Neal was charged with a flagrant foul while I was down by three. That pretty much sealed the game and i lost by 7.

                Still very exciting!

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I see much worse use of grammar in almost every other post...then I use the word "funnest" and get bashed for it? C'mon, we don't need the grammer police in here .
