    Analog PC controllers

In anticipation of NBA Live 2003's PC release, I picked up the Gravis Eliminator Aftershock today for $30 at Best Buy... I played a few games of Live 2000 with it, and so far I'm diggin' it.

It's kind of hard to adjust after using the GamePad Pro for so long, which is essentially an old-school PSOne controller (i.e. no analog). The only other analog controller I've ever used was the PS2 analog... It's kind of strange having the analog sticks above the face buttons and d-pad instead of below. And the start/select buttons are arranged vertically, which makes it awkward to call for a pick. I definitely like the analog control though.

One thing that bugs me though, it seems like when you turn analog mode on in NBA Live, the turbo button doesn't do anything. When you hold it down, the turbo meter seems to go down faster than usual, but you don't get a speed boost. Very strange.

Anyone who has a console version of Live 2003, is it hard to adjust to using both sticks as well as all the standard buttons?

Does it have any shoulder buttons on the top like on the PS2 controller. If it does I will probaly give it a shot.

karma, i considered getting that too, but since I sold my ps2 a couple of months ago, i would have had to buy a new controller. I figured this would be cheaper...

I guess i might be picking that one up or the Thrustmaster one because it resembles the PS2 controller.

The thrustmaster firestorm dual analog/power are a bit different than the ps2.. it's a bit larger but it fits my less-than-average hands well still.. plus there are those two extra well-placed middlefinger buttons on the back of the controller.. yep I have it and it works great =P
