It isn't really fair to lump Kobe in the comparisons here.

Nonetheless i'd have to say Wade.

Yeah, a better question would be whose better?

        Penny '95, Kobe '01, or Wade '05?

Wade '05. He's more mature then Penny and Kobe, he isnt selfish, and he puts the team ahead of himself.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

That clearly is the funniest joint I've ever seen. I wonder what topic that was about. Well, I honestly have to say that Wade is the best because he dominates how he should. In certain situations, he knows that he needs to shoot, while others he will take the passing role. I like that honestly. Kobe would have been better off if he would have passed more often than he did. Wade is what Kobe could have been.

Lebron can't be compared to Wade though because of the core around both players. Honestly, Lebron was carrying that team. What I have to say is that Shaq did a lot for Wade this year. Honestly, Wade did help take his team to the playoffs twice but Wade had a good team last year as well as this year. Gotta look at just more than their stats, but what those other players around him are looking like....

This thread should be Melo vs. Bron vs. Wade
              And I'll choose Wade
but for the orginal, I'll choose Kobe threadmaster

Wade has been the most impressive out of the 3. We have seen wade play great without shaq and with shaq. He is the quickest out them, and continues to play good under pressure. Lebron is improving each year, but just needs to be more consistent. It seemed at times he was confused of when to take over the game rather than trying to get triple doubles. Kobe is a selfish player with a big ego. How quickly kobe looked mediocre without shaq on his team.

I'm Kobe's biggest fan, but I will also point out his flaws. And yes, RIGHT NOW, as in this year, Dwayne Wade is playing better than Kobe Bryant. All history aside, if we were to use only this year, then Dwade has played better ball than Kobe.

Sure if we take careers into account, than Kobe has the upper hand. But for this year, Wade may be the best guard out there. As a matter of fact, I'd take Iverson, Wade, and maybe T-mac over Kobe based on this year.

Now I'm not saying they are better basketball players, but they are playing better ball.

With that said, I have no doubt in my mind that Kobe will regain that top spot because he is a tough SOB, and if there is anything that puts him in front of those guys its passion, desire, and work ethic. And I expect to see all three of those things in full effect next year.

switch lebron and wade...I think wade would have equal numbers but lebrons team would be WWAAAY better...Lebron can do it all and he sees the floor very well...Next season lets hope we can reach the playoffs and see wht he can really do....playoffs are were legends are made...Wade is making his self a legend this season and hes only in his second year. If u want to compare pure skill....Lebron is better but success wise the obvious choice would be Wade, oh and also, Melo would be ahead of Lebron in the success category...

                        I agree.

If LeBron had Shaq or even the Heat bench, LeBron would have a lot more success than he's had.

thats so true, and what makes it so amazing is lebron got to the core of the pistons defense with out shaq imagine with shaq there he would be unstopable

Wade.. because of maturity and decision making, but... guys.. I honestly think that this season Iverson was the best guard in league.. I'm being really objective here.. It's a pity that it didn't come along with the team success..

I honestly think that AI had an amazing year also. Even more so than his MVP year. The numbers he put up were just !! But in this L, it's all about winning.

Which is why Kobe barely got any recognition for anything this year, even tho he put up great numbers as well.
