Amare's a good example of the new breed of players.

I think that this is the direction basketball is going in.Amare,Lebron, and Flash are great examples of guys who can shine when it's time for it.The way I see it basketball is starting to look fun and great to watch again. The best part about it is that these guys aren't anywhere near where they're going to be.The future is looking good as long as there isn't a lockout.

He isnt really "new breed" though. I think of Amare, LeBron, and Wade as more old school then new breed. They play the game the way its supposed to be played like they played it during the heyday of the NBA in the 70s and 80s and early-mid 90s. From what i've seen of Amare i think he resembles Moses Malone a great deal with the way he plays inside and grabs those rebounds.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Great comparison to Moses Malone. I agree.

moses sometimes would throw the ball up on the backboard a couple times before trying to make the shot so he could pull down a few more rebounds and pad those rebounding stats.
