I gotta go to bed bro but I will say this. Ya he backed some of it up but his intentions were that Ben couldn't stop him and he would lead them to victory as a result of his dominance of Ben and he failed. Take care.

Saying on TV a few days ago he was only 40% was laughable even to the point that Wade, who was beside him, started laughing.

He's now past his prime, which is not a problem, but pretending he's still an unstoppable force and should of got MVP is yesterday's news. It's obvious this playoff that Wade was the real MVP of the team this year. Wade is superman now and Shaq is pretty much his sidekick which won't suit Shaq's ego especially when he's looking for that huge extension from the Heat.

I would rather look closely what I am saying. Shaq came to Miami and live up most of the hype. He is the main reason why Wade's improvement was so fast that he is smoking hot. Shaq's presence bring attention whether or not he score 20 points or 10 points that it creates opportunity for Wade to play his game without worrying much about the defense. Take Shaq out against DET and Wade will be clamp hard he can't even get near the paint. Kind of uhm, a dead Superman.

Heat became an instant title contender after Shaq came, so he live up to the hype. Eventhough they lost against DET, they are still a team that DET would rather avoid in this kind of series especially with Wade and Shaq healthy. He might not be as good as he was 4 years ago, but he is still a guy that needs to be respected when he puts his uniform. You want proof, it took DET 7 games to close down MIA, compared to LA last year who they clamp in 5 games. They might have lost, but they are not out yet at least for about 2 or 3 years if lucky. Maybe 2 years.

He backed it all up. Not some. He challenged Ben Wallance, the DPOY, to prove himself and stop him. Did he?

I dont think any other 6'9" PF could do any better against a 7'1" 350 lbs player. His intentions were that you cant stop me and we will win, he didnt. I guess I am just frustrated with having to play against Shaq in a series. He gets away with most everything. Ben earned his award fair and square. For people to say he is flawed because he cant stop Shaq is sad.

And Vince yes Sheed is a jerk too but not as bad as Shaq is.

Using a game line does not tell the story...

First of all, Shaq gets defended by Ben, Sheed, Dyess, and Elden. So, you'd have to break those stats out.

Second, Shaq puts up those numbers against double and triple teams. The Pistons play him straight man-to-man.

Name another defender (or group) that could play Shaq straight man-to-man and control him.

Plus, win all the individual battles you want...your team needs to win the war.

Bens not even 6'9, more like 6'6''-6'7'', I know Shaq was trying to pump up himself and his team but Ben did all he could to slow Shaq down a bit and late into the game Shaq didnt even get off a shot(last 2 mins or so). Big Ben played him well enough for the Pistons to win which is all that matters.

                      Shaq backed his talk up.

Eddie and Damon Jones, Keyon Dooling, and the other Heat role players lost the game for the team.

All Shaq did was tell Ben to play defense on him like a defensive POY. Shaq tore him apart, regardless of how his team performed.

man, you gotta be kidding me. Now 27 pts and 9 rebounds is considered tearing someone apart??

And why are you blaming the Heat role players for the loss when Shaq played no defense all game and made little effort to grab boards?

Why call Big Ben out like that? I mean it's not like anyone is saying Ben has been shutting the dude down or something.

Well it doesn't even matter now, the Heat are staying at home untill next season.
