I hope people are smart with this... I'm not going to say what side of the spectrum is wrong in my opinion, but if its the majority, I have no more faith in basketball fans!

I guess some ppl didn't watch the Western Finals cuz the Spurs can play uptempo when they need to. They're a very versatile team.

Hey!!! the guy who came up with the thread (Me), thinks this series is going to be superb... an epic battle most definetely! It's not going to be about shutting down the offense in the 4th quarter now... it will be, WHO? can score in the final minutes of this game. These games will be intense, arguably one of the best series' in years!

Im not a Miami fan and I agree, its going to be boring. Tim Duncan who is probably the most fundamentally sound player in the NBA and the best PF in the NBA is hardly ever in commercials, and has huge endorsment deals because...well..hes boring. Ive worked in the Marketing industry for quite a while now and I tell you now, Tim Duncan could win the next 4 MVP's and 4 more championships in a row and lead the league in scoring, rebounds, and assists every year for those years and still someone whos only 3/4 of the player he is with no MVP's and No rings will be the one inking the 20 million dollar shoe deal and in all the commercials, etc. Thats not taking away from Tim Duncan because you can be a GREAT but BORING player,and thats exactly what he is. If he had some kind of a personality, marketing people would be beating down his door, but he doesnt and so they dont. You have to have personality and be UN-BORING to sell products. The advertising world has labled him as Boring...and the only real commercial hes done was for American Express and the ONLY reason why they approached him with that one is because the Marketing Firm who handles the American Express account came up with the idea to actually play off of his boringness in the advertisiments. Thats why the commercial he was in, it was all about him showing no emotion when the car salesman was tring to sell him a car.

So I got a bit off track but seriously, the two best teams are rightfully playing for a championship BUT the only real Super Duper Star in the whole series is Tim Duncan, and hes boring himself. Yawn. I will catch the highlights (highlights??) on Sportscenter.

If Tim Duncan is boring because he doesn't show boat, practices sportsmanship, and doesn't get arrested then I like Boring players.

It is a shame that all the exciting players are sitting at home while the boring players are in the Finals. Next year the NBA should use a WWE approach and just plan out who is going to be in the Finals.

This is not going to be a boring series. If it were SA and say the old NJ Nets again then yes, but this series wont be boring.

At least the games will be close.

And low scoring doesn't always mean boring... it actually makes it more exciting, because every basket counts.

There won't be the highlights of say a Miami/Phoenix NBA Finals, but there will be some clutch play and good team basketball. Definitely will be a thinking man's series.

Well that's half of the problem. Lots of casual fans cant "think" strategy because they have very minimal knowledge of the game. Its moreso .... ah who has the better crossover AI or Wade

No. I am bitter because of this matchup. This series is all about fundamentals, D, strategy & other little stuff that wins. I am no strategist of basketball as I like fancy moves, recognizable stars & stuff. I am a casual fan because I like the others can't think strategicly deeply in this game.

No. We want real basketball. We want to see whos the best. That does not prove anything at all.

As long as the games are close, the series will be exciting, regarless if they are in the 100's or the 80's.

And IMO, all the games will be close.
