Only reason people say Olajuwon, is because they were either not born or never seen tape of Lew play. Every other position there is no arguement.

Here's a link to the man's stats, just awesome!!!

      Kareem
      19 time allstar
      6 championships
      6 MVP's
      2 Finals MVP's
      Rookie of the Year

I mean he's probably the only other player I would consider the greatest ever.

AI at point guard?!?! WTF!!! Iverson = Magic = Oscar?
You have to be high. Oscar average a triple double for a season. Magic made Kurt Rambis look like an All-Star. I like AI, but he doesnt make anyone around him better.

I have to agree with you.........I mean AI is one of my ALL TIME favorites but he does not top Magic. Magic if it wasnt for Jordan I would put him as my G.O.A.T. The dude was.......well Magic.

                        Re: Greatest at each position

Magic = Point forward... I'd rather have him at PF or even SF and make room for Stockton. He was a wizard with the ball. He's the all time leader in steals and assists. He shot the ball extremely well and was a great defender.

                          Re: Greatest at each position

PG - Magic Johnson: You really don't need to ask why I picked him
                          SG - Michael Jordan: Ditto!
SF - Larry Bird: I hated him because he always lit the Bulls up but I respect his game BIGTIME.
PF - Tim Duncan: In my opinion, better defender than Malone.
C - Shaqullie O'Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon, Wilt Chamberlain: Can't make a choice in this area so I picked three. O'Neal is the most dominate player of the bunch, Olajuwon is the most skilled and Chamberlain has the unbreakable records.
I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm X

Stockton might be the second greatest PG ever, but Magic is, bar none, THE greatest PG in basketball (not just NBA) history.

I have to agree about the TD over Mailman thing. Most of these kids never saw the Mailman in his prime. Even though I put Barkley on my list (slighty over Malone because Sir Charles was a little more versatile) I'd take Malone over Duncan.

Magic = Point GUARD. Magic would adamantly tell you that himself. His college coach initially wanted him to play forward, but Magic insisted he be the PG.

And Magic had better ball-handling skills and probably would have put the assist record away if his career wasn't cut short. Plus Magic played pretty good team defense and early in his career lead the NBA in steals.
