Anyone hear Charles Barkley on The Dan Patrick Radio Show?

He said Tim Duncan is the best PF ever, and he'd take him over Malone and himself, mainly because at this point, he's done most of the things that some of the other great PF's couldn't accomplish.

It's true that Duncan has won the championships, but man there aint no Jordan in his way. Again, I wouldn't agree that he is the hands down best PF to play the game... he is up there and a proven winner.

Agreed but just cause duncan has three rings i still wouldnt say he is the best he doesnt do anything thats is great this series just show me that if you have a tall agile forward guardin he can be contained. but to me if the things about the forwards is all about titles then i'll just name a few that got some rings, and i think bill russell would have alot of finals mvp if they had it back in his championship days.

Tom Heinsohn-6 rings Forward this guy was a leading scorer in a team with couz and russell
John Havlicek- has like 8 or so and we all know how good this guy was
if bird is consider a PF or not he's obviously better then duncan.

barkley is one of the best pf's ever. So if he thinks Duncan is better than him that's very high praise.

I'm partial to the Chuckster over the Mailman... I was singularly impressed the way he single handedly took a Phoenix team to the Finals... I'm not sure what Malone would have done if he hadn't had John Stockton alongside him in Utah... I'm not knocking him for his accomplishments, I'm just partial to Chuck.

Barkley had KJ, an extremely good player who averaged nearly 20pts 10 assists in playoffs alone.

Way to go out on a limb there. Duncan's comfortably in the top 5 right now, if not #1. He's well on his way to being the best PF ever. Barkely, Malone and McHale round out the top 4

I give 2-4 solid seasons of his usual numbers, than I'll say he's the best. It's not a matter if he'll be considered number 1, but when. It should be very soon. I still have Malone.

That was one season though...

IMO Charles should have been the greatest of all time.

He was probably in shape for 10% of his career though.

Guys are judged on their careers...Sir Charles made The Finals once.

Those Phoenix teams that Houston beat were stacked...

I love Charles and he was one of the most enjoyable players I've ever watched. I wish there were more like him. However, most of his problems were of his own making.

If he'd of had Jordans 'drive'...he'd have been the GOAT.

One thing that I don't see brought up very often is.....isn't Duncan basically a center?

No no... its not a little too soon to call Duncan the best PF ever... its too late for you to be defending your boy Malone... he is now 2nd in best PF's ever... Duncan IS the best... 3 championships, 3 finals mvp's, 3 league mvp's, Rookie of year, rebounding and blocking force.
