Where Will Michael Redd end up?

One of the many BIG off-season questions that we can't wait to have answered is, where will Redd play next season? To me, it's either Milwaukee or Cleveland. He could reward Milwaukee for his improving play, or take his great play alongside King James in Cleveland. He's now a legit top 2-guard in my mind, so Milwaukee should give him a juicy contract.

    His 05 stats, btw:

    23 points per game
    1.7 turnovers per game
    2.3 assist per game
    4.2 rebounds per game

    44% field goals and 36% from 3

From a spectator, I hope he does indeed leave Milwaukee and go join Lebron. I'm not sure how much the Bucks can offer him, but for him to stay there, he'll need a max contract. They are nowhere near to become contenders even with the help of the #1 pick.

I'd think that Redd would benefit greatly playing alongside Lebron. He wouldn't be the focal point and actually get some open looks unlike in Milwaukee. There's also the fact he is from Ohio and his family is there.. makes it even more sweet.

No doubt he is a premier playing and it was proving last season when he took the last shot of the All Star game. They drew the play up specifically for him. He has a nice shot and is a good team player but I think it is down to onyl Milwaukee and Cleveland. I think there are a bunch of teams out there that is interested in him.

Milwaukee. We cleared some cap room for the purpose of keeping him.

Sign and trade to bring Ray Allen back to Beer Town and Redd to the Emerald City...

I hope Redd goes to Cleveland. Mike and Lebron could really be something special. But I have a feeling he ends up back in Milwaukee.

But also, if Redd goes to Cleveland, the teams expectations are gong to be unrealistically high. They will need more than Redd to be real players in the East

IMO, Redd has to analyze what he really wants. If he wants to get a nice payday and still be the main focus, he should stay in Milwaukee. Problem with that is, I don't see them makin the Playoffs, and with them bringin in Bogut or Williams, both young, I think Milwaukee's Playoff days won't come again in a while. Redd will have to do as much as possible to help in the development of one of the rookies. While in Cleveland, he may be that next piece the Cavs need to make their Playoff run. Bron Bron damn near got 'em there this past season, and with an addition like Michael Redd, it'll be hard to miss 'em again.

At the end of the day, I just think its a great move for the careers of both, LeBron and Redd. Eastern and Western Conference opponents better hope this doesn't happen.

Thats true. If Cleveland could some how land Redd and someone like Eddy Curry (someone LBJ requested), then they will be real players in the East.

Given, they still need a PG, but that has the makings of a top notch starting lineup.

Everyone can erase that Curry being acquired by any other team out of their head already. Pretty sure that he's a gamble outside of Chicago. I'm sure that chicago won't let him slip like so many assume.

                      Milwaukee.

Cleveland is a possibility, but with MIL having some cap room to bring in a good FA, adding the #1 pick in Bogut who can be a factor next season and maybe getting TJ Ford back, Milwaukee wont be nearly as bad as they were last year and will have a shot at one of the lower seeds in the playoffs.

Re: Where Will Michael Redd end up?

                          Depends.

Like its been mentioned, the Cavs need more than just Redd. If they pay Illgauskas, then they may not be able to afford the kid, as they also need a frontline PG after McInnis' meltdown. This is the perfect market for teams in need of an off guard, and while Redd is the cream of the crop, the Cavs have a couple other pretty good options. Great 2-way SG's like Joe Johnson, Larry Hughes, or scorers like Bonzi Wells, and now possibly Mike Finley could all be brought in for less money.

I want Redd, but I would't break the bank for him. Not this year.
