Is it just me or do teams in NBA 2k3 score too many points in the paint?

I dont mean to start a flame war but I have noticed something. Every game I play the computer averages 80% of its points in the paint. Now I dont usually keep up with a stat like that in the real NBA but that seems way too high for those points. I figured it might be the way I play so I simmed a 12 min quarter game between Dallas and Washington. Dallas scored 80 of 112 points in the paint. Washington 78 of 90. Is this a fluke or are others experiencing this?

Change your shot tendencies slider if you feel you are or the AI is scoring too many in the paint. Make them take more medium range and long range shots, and adjust the sliders accordingly.

You must have messed with your sliders to get those numbers. I sim games sometimes and I get a realistic number of points in the paint.

Wtferrel is right change thier shot tendencies to make them shoot more J's. that problem will be drasticlly elimenated.

You gotta play good D to keep them from scoring in the paint. Some nights I get slapped around, but I would say the CPU scores about 50% of its points in the paint on me. If I play off on D the computer will take more jumpers.
