    Re: Duncan vs Olajuwon

You know what, in looking at the stats, Duncan can't even begin to touch Olajuwon, especially in the block category. As an undersized center (Olajuwon was about 6-9, Duncan is 6-11), Olajuwon still averaged over 3 blocks per game, and averaged over 4 blocks 3 times. Duncan has some serious catching up to do if he wants to be mentioned against Olajuwon.

come on now you don't know what you're talking about. there's no way in hell olajuwon was 6'9.

next you guys will be saying that olajuwon really had a fake leg and was blind in one eye.

Yes, he was. At the most, he was 6'10", but that's it. He wasn't anything above that.

How he played and his talent level?
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Ofcourse, I just want to hear your case for why he's the best C of all-time. I don't think he did enough to receive that type of recognition, but I wouldn't mind seein it from your side.

He could play inside, outside, and along the perimeter, he had the best foot work of any big i've ever seen, he was great on defense, he could block shots very well, he had the skills and handles/passing ability of a guard. And he destroyed all 3 of his contemporaries in the span of about a year when he obliterated Ewing, Robinson (which was embarassing), and Shaq in the playoffs during the 2 title runs. Its all personal opinion but i'd take him over Kareem, Wilt, Shaq, Russell, Reed, Thurmond, Gilmore, Ewing, Robinson, and ofcourse Duncan.

Thats cool, I wasn't goin to argue against your opinion or anything. Some guys just throw things out there without any explanation behind it. I'd probably take Shaq over him because of overall career success and the length of his domination of this league but your case for Hakeem is pretty good.

Funny about that Rockets Spurs series. Yeah Hakeem dominated, but it took Horry to get them the wins. Dennis Rodman simply refused to play D, it was a joke. And the Spurs rarely doubled Hakeem. Great performance but there's more to that series that makes it so annoying for me to think about.
