The speed seems fine to me, a little slower than the console.
But we did'nt have an option to change anything.

For those who can't play the game on max, here's a couple of screenshots of the game in max detail and high resolution. Check out the shadows and reflections. Wow!

      Nice eh?

Re: NBA Live 2003 demo is available!!!

The speed really isn't that bad. The gold master I assume is just like the demo in that regard. The problem is the speed of the players in how they can spin, cut, and twirl around defenders like they are stading still. Even my teammates cannot keep up with them. I usually, tho not always, play the center and I sit back in amazement at how easily the CPU can score on my players--even players with that "tight D" icon. If a player is left open for a jumper--write it down--it's good. I don't care who it is.

NBA Live 2003 PC needs a set of gameplay sliders as bad as any EA game ever IMO. If you could slow down the speed a few notches (trying to guard someone one on one is next to impossible, at least for me) and lower the blocks and field goal shooting the game would be spectacular. I have no idea why they wouldn't include sliders in this game.

It seems as if EA has replaced the idea of a missed jumper with a blocked shot. I cannot play a game without blocking at least 15 shots (9 min periods). I can hold the CPU to no less than 55% shooting and that's WITH the 15 blocks, which is just flat out goofy.

I guess it all depends on what you want out of the game. I don't want to see point guards blocking shots into the cheap seats and I don't want to see Stackhouse dunking everytime he's near the basket and I want Gary Payton to miss an open jump shot every once in a while.

If you can hold the CPU to shooting under 50% for the game, without blocking 15-20 shots, I deem you the King of Video Baseketball.

Did anyone notice why EA has players sitting on the floors? Because each bench only has 7 chairs. LOL.

Re: NBA Live 2003 demo is available!!!

Well, I dropped another 90 bucks on a new vid card, a Radeon 7500, (added to the $35 i spent on an analog controller and I'm already out 125 bucks and I don't even have the game yet!), and was able to play the demo finally.

It certainly is different! Much more fun than Live 2001. The controls are pretty responsive, even though my buttons seemed to be mixed up from the last version of Live. The game is fast, but not as fast as I expected.

I tried the freestyle moves a bit, but mostly stuck with the old moves, as the game was too fast to allow any practice.... A practice mode would have been nice in the demo.

I played on Superstar, and got whooped 25-4. The next game I narrowed it to 19-8, and in the third game I lost 14-8. The blocks are waaay out of control. Every block is like spiking a volleyball. What the hell is that?

The game certainly has potential. I think with some practice and some ratings adjustments, the game will be awesome.

Oh, if anyone's curious, I'm running the game on a p3 700 with 196MB of RAM and the 64MB Radeon 7500. It runs smoothly on the medium detail at 1024x768.

Does the f12 key save screenshots? I can't seem to find the directory...?

Well, time to go back to playing...

Check the readme for supported video cards... It didn't work for me either, so I had to go out and get a new vid card.
