Bird rights mean that the team can go above the salary cap to resign a player. The luxury tax is always in play.

KT is a good pickup for PHX & a good player, but he won't make a difference against TD. Now soon, with the addition of the best Big man over in Europe (Luis Scola PF) coming to our team, we'll be getting deeper.
There's talk of a proposed Rasho for Shareef (Portland) trade, I don't see it happening, but SAR has expressed his desire to play for the Spurs over the past couple years.
Too bad Duncan wasnt the person that beat the Suns this past year. I'm sorry. When it comes to Duncan/Stoudemire, I'm not worried with Amare. He can MORE than hold his own against the Spurs and Duncan. The problem was role players. We'll be getting deeper too, dont worry.

Um don't get too cocky, TD played the entire playoffs with 2 very bad ankles & tendonitis in his knee which he hurt a few yrs back when we lost to you guys in the 1st Rd.
Amare is very very good, but let's see him repeat that this upcoming season. TD & Amare will basically cancel each other out, but TD clearly the better overall complete player (OFF & DEF), what did your team in was very simple, the Spurs.
We're just better, Bowen outplayed ya boy the Matrix, TP played even with Nash, TD & Amare cancelled each other out, Manu 0wnz the Suns.
Spurs still better, sorry to to shatter your fantasy world.
oh & i'd be worried, since we're reloading with L.Scola (PF) coming in from overseas, D.Brown having another yr under his belt & Manu getting better, with much needed rest.

C'mon, NYC. You believe that "bad ankle" stuff? OBVIOUSLY he wasnt bothered by it. He kicked *** as well. Its not like I'm not giving credit where credit is due, but Duncan wasnt the one that beat the Suns. Plain and simple.

I think he was, however it doesn't affect his game that much because he is so fundamentally sound.

Now if Amare ankles were hurting, he'd be much less effective.

                  Nash had a bad thigh.

Joe Johnson had a banged up face.

Q Rich had a stiff back.

                  Amare had a hyperextended elbow.

                  Marion had a sprained wrist.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Um, Nash didn't seem bothered by that aginst the Mavs in the previous Rd now did he?
If any logical SUNS or NBA fan would go back & view the reg season stats of Nash vs TP, you'd see TP plays very well against Nash.

                    Manu had deep thigh bruise,

DBrown playing with herniated disk, didn't even play in the playoffs until the NBA finals.

It's simple, the SPURS beat the SUNS, pretty easy @ their own game.

SUNS remind me of the Mavs (under Nash) with a high powered OFF but no DEF, & every yr they made trades/additions to try to improve their DEF, but to no avail.

fact is this SPURS Championship team remains in tact this upcoming season, the same team who beat the SUNS 4-1 & swept them in their own floor (3-0 @ PHX) during the WCF, so unless the SUNS figure out how to beat us, I don't see how they will overtake us.

Should be a nice new rivalary between the SPURS & SUNS.

Even the Spurs players wouldn't admit that they beat the Suns easily. No excuses but it wasn't as easy as a 4-1 series would seem.

There's no guarantee the Suns will the Spurs' No. 1 challenger in the West. They could easily get knocked off by a team like the Rockets.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

LOL. The Spurs beat the Suns easily????

Think about it. In most all the games (except Game 3, and even that was close), the Suns had to play absolutely HORRIBLY and the Spurs had to play PERFECT BASKETBALL with NO screwups, and they STILL beat us by only 3, 7, and other low margins.

To say the Spurs beat the Suns easily is so laughable it's not even funny. No team wins easily when they have to cater to the other team's style of play, which is what the Spurs had to do.

Give the Suns any halfway decent 4th quarters and you'd be looking back on a Suns/Pistons Finals.

                            Easy, hah.

Wow, I'm so sick of Suns fans it's not even funny...

Why are you guys still rehashing this? Do ya'll want a cookie or something. Everyone knows that the Suns were banged up. So were the Spurs. Timmy D was injured, Many was aswell and Devin Brown didn't play. And Devin Brown was a key component during the reg. season. The bottom line is that you lost, end of story. I'm really getting tired of this stuff about how the Suns could've won. Well they didn't and now on to next year.

I'm just trying to defend my team when people are making suggestions that are very off base. Any fan would do that for their team, I'd hope.
