Is anyone dissappointed with any 2k3 animations?

What I mean is, Is anyone disappointed with some of the animations that VC took out from last years series. I know many of you could care less about the dunks for instance, but why would Sega take out the dunks they had in the game already . All of those J-Rich dunk animations aren't cutting it IMO. None of the glide type dunks were left in, the tomahawk windmill, and a few others were replaced with one like the one handed dunk where the guy gets about 2 inches from the ground . It makes a good fast break seem kinda dull. I hope they left the good things they took out from last year in their database, and it's unlockable through a code, or next year they work on these things ,and some of the stiff choppy animations. Although it is one of the best games to date, I hate the fact that they tampered with a good thing. I love the 2k series, but some of the things they implemented like that wack through the legs dunk, and that ******** looking spinning lay-up finger roll is horrible . Am I being picky or do you 2k lovers understand what I mean.

The Alley-oop layins that were such a big part (and one of my favorite parts) of 2K2 seem to be mysteriously absent as well.

I agree about the dunks too. They look like me and my buddies dunking on 8-foot rims.

I have seen a few alley oop layins so they are definetly in the game. Even did one at a Best Buy Kiosk

I have also seen quite a few alley layins myself.

I've had a ton of oop- lay ins. Especially Andre Miller to Cory Maggette.

Some of the alleyoop layins and alleyoop dunks look good, but I agree with you, nbafan. Overall, the dunks in past 2k games have been much better than this year's. I think in an effort to make the game "more realistic", they made the dunks too boring. Maybe they had to get rid of all their old dunk animations because of the new shot adjust thing. If that's the case, I think it was a bad tradeoff.

I've also seen several alley-oops. Do you play games to look for flaws? You seem to really have a problem with NBA2k3. Are your problems with the game out of fear that perhaps others may find that it's a great basketball game? Thank god for choices......

You can see that kind of layups. I think that dunks ae better than in 2k2, in 2k2 the rim was even closer to the ground.

Ok, so I'm not losing it. I like many changes they made such as sliding on the floor after a charde, or when they wrap you up if you are only up by a couple of points at the last few ticks. The lay-in alley-oops are nice, but the dunks aren't doing well this time. I think it takes something from a game when you take out good things. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I only hope the college basketball 2k3 is all of what they say it is. I haven't played ID, but I think VC has made the best game out, I just wish it will use better dunkers, and add better lay-ups in the future.
