Re: Notable names on Summer league teams

Is it OK to get excited about the numbers these players put up?

Im VERY VERY optomistic about Julius Hodge playing in a Nuggets jersey, but Luis Flores is tearing up the Summer Leaugue - Much like Skita did for his 3 years here. The guy can't play a lick and he is averaging 12 points a game (Which is pretty good, I think the summer league is only 40 minutes.

Until Hodge improves that outside shot, I'd be very leary of him.

What if he played point guard? I think Julie Hodge could be a very good NBA player without having a good outside shot. He can play D, he's smart with the ball, and I think he'd be the type to hit big shots and big plays when they mattered. He didn't need much of a jumpshot at NC State, although the ACC is different from the NBA, he shouldn't have a problem with playing in the league.

If he turns into one, Denver would be very happy with their draft choice.

Yeah they should just be thankful he's not a second round pick that rejects the LLE and wants more, which forces the team to dip into the MLE, thus not being able to sign a big time FA.
